Holland Park Cafe - Carta

Holland park is a great place, with lots going on. The was not a lot of choice in food. I was disappointed with a toasted cheese sandwich and the coffee was not a good standard.

What could be a go to cafe in a beautiful park is instead a place to avoid! Undrinkable coffee and avocado on toast served unappetisingly in a cardboard box with wooden utensils….. horrid!

If you like tasteless poor quality food served up in a cardboard box with wooden utensils and served by unfriendly, unhelpful staff then this is the place for you. Just appalling all round, no excuse for such poor service. Ver carta

We had avocado toast coffee for lunch fine but let down by being served in a cardboard type box with wooden cutlery cardboard cups. Wooden knives forks just do not do the job in our opinion. Nice quiet spot reasonably priced.

Had a poor bacon toastie bacon barely cooked) with a stale cake inedibly dry , tasteless and hard) whilst the staff closed the area we we sat in and urged us to leave whilst we were eating. At 3pm. On a Saturday. Its up there with the worst I ever had.

Stopped by the café about 2pm and there weren't many sandwiches or things in the fridge but what they did have was their tart of the day with salad. Served warm with a side salad and some dressing in a pot, for those who don't like dressing. It came in a recyclable box and wooden knives and forks available. The tart was delicious. Cheese, pepper and courgette. Definitely recommend having this if there are any left! Ver carta

We were visiting the Opera Holland Park for a children's workshop and went to the cafe before and afterwards for coffee. The coffee that we had was quite acceptable (americano and Latte). We had a picnic, but bought ice creams, however, the range was limited. The food that we saw appeared well presented and not ridiculously priced. The service was a bit slow and queues developed very quickly, particularly at lunchtime.

Staff member cleaned floor with pungent ammonia right up to our table. When we suggested they might not want to do that in future as some people reacted to strong chemicals, staff member became aggressive. Disappointed at the hostility we fled, with throats gagging and eyes streaming! Quite apart from no doubt breaking some health and safety law or other having chemicals of that toxicity that close to food, it's a great shame the venue is not being better managed. It's a wonderful location and could be amazing.

Arrived at 10.45 on Saturday 20 May for brunch to be told kitchen doesn't open until 11.00. Bought cappuccinos, small, in take away cups with tepid temperature. Took them back and replacements were not much hotter. Cappuccino was weak and tasteless. Friend observed cappuccino steamer being cleaned with a dirty cloth. Returned to counter at 11.15 to see customers in front of me request a tray to take their food and drinks to their table to be told there were no trays available, but they could have paper bags. After and extensive search they were told there were no bags available. Then I ordered our brunch at which the cashier scurry off to the kitchen and returned saying the kitchen wouldn't... Ver carta
