"Lives locally and visited this pub during my childhood, but only recently began to frequent since joining the poker league every Wednesday. The Horseshoe is a cornerstone of Downend High Street and the local community as a whole, which has continued to strive and develop how many other local pubs have closed. A beautiful welcoming environment with friendly staff and a high standard of presentation, without getting too far from a place you could call your locals. A beautiful selection of beverages from breweries on site and in the distance, a series of purses and tasteful friendly pints, excellent quality food for the price. Make sure you visit this place to keep it!"

Have eaten here before and has always been decent. Just drinks tonight, staff knowledgeable about spirits and nice Guinness. Gents loos need a refurb though.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Horseshoe the other day. The meal was excellent washed down with a good beer. The service was very good with Megs particularly helpful and courteous. I'll be back soon.

I had a fine for the parking lot in the pub parking lot after talking to the staff I was told to send them proof I was with the pub, It took a while, but only had comformation his rejection, happy days, I am again Great pub.

How was Arcadia, who was played in this big music club. Well, the answer was as usual, a great performance, but then again the Horseshoe did not book garbage. So you have good food if you want all drinks to cover your special taste, good size parking and two outdoor areas before and behind the pub. Then you have this really good music area. Many seating / standing places, large bar, good acoustics and for the band a special space for playing and expressing their special musical style. So the pub is one of the better from Bristol pubs,did l mention how well Arcadia played? ...... check the drummer, a lot of professional.
