"A damp evening in Prats de Mollo was brightened up by our recent visit to this family run restaurant. The welcome was genuine, and the service pleasantly informal and friendly. We had lunch here last year, sitting at the outside tables but, on a cool evening were pleased to take advantage of the interior, which was warmed by the wood fired pizza oven. As it was outside the main tourist season the restaurant was quiet, indeed there appear to be more diners around Prats at lunchtimes than evenings, when the daytrippers have left. The restaurant offers several menus or A La Carte, and we opted for the 3 course formule at 13 euros, which gave three or four choices per course. In our case, a Charcuterie starter was followed by Steak Frites, and rounded off with Creme Catalan (the Catalan take on Creme Broule). With coffees and a litre of house wine, the bill for the two of us came to around 40 euros decent value we thought. The food was well prepared and tasty, and we look forward to our another visit. Perhaps next time we will try one of the pizzas from the pizza oven."

Set in one of the town squares with attractive views this is a nice place to eat. We had rabbit and fish dishes both of which were well cooked and presented as well as being very reasonably priced. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice place to eat.

Very nice staff. Much quicker to get a meal than El Sud in the next square. Food is at least as good as El Sud too. The food is average. But then again much of the food in this part of France is average and you really have to search to find something that bucks that trend.

After exploring the pretty village of Prats de Mello, we stumbled upon the Hostellerie Le Relais, while wet and cold. The staff were inviting and friendly to us anglos. We each had a pizzz (along with salad and rose wine). They were among the best pizzas we have ever had, Mine was ham and roquefort cheese, cooked in a wood fired oven and my wife had a tarte flambe. Excellent

We visit Prats de Mollo every couple of years with friends or family or both. This is one of the places where we eat. This trip we were 8, including children. The food is excellent country fare. We had Catalan meatballs as well as delicious prawns in garlic and butter. The children had pizzas. Great friendly and fast service, large portions, perfectly sized pizzas for kids (small option much appreciated) and excellent hours of operation.

We are a family of four who had Sunday lunch at Le Relais. The service was friendly but incredibly slow. In fact, they completely forgot our order and it took an hour to finally get our food. The serveuses were very apologetic and gave us a couple of glasses of wine to keep us going. The food was fine (pizzas, prawns and boles de picolat) but nothing special. Friendly service. A good location, in the main square under awnings. Prices reasonable.

Went with a group of 6 adults and 6 kids last night. Nice old fashioned style restaurant in pretty Catalan mountain town; the owners Guillaume and Delphine are lovely and clearly working hard here. Most of the menu is normal fare but they have their own wood fired pizza oven and a massive range of forty or so different pizzas. I had the rustique boudin noir, apple, red onion, creme fraiche which was very good and thin crust. The red wine by the carafe is local and drinkable too.

En français: n’y va surtout pas!! C’est horrible! In English: The kids ordered pizzaz they were OK. We ordered starters, main course and dessert. Starters: old cold cut meat. Horrible. Main course: pigs cheek in Banyuls sauce…absolutely horrible. Bitter Banyuls sauce and sad fries. Pigs cheek totally destroyed by the sauce. Desert: crème catalane, ice cold and with lumps in it. Service: the mum runs around in her transparent pants all stressed out and her kids are throwing the plates at the tables. They should have payed us 85€ for this trauma!

Sat for sometime before a waitress came tour table, we ordered drinks, again it took sometime for the drinks to appear, then we had to wait again for a long period before she came back and took our order. We only ordered a starter and a main course each, both having something different, very slow in bringing the starters which were just ok. the main courses again were ok, my steak was over cooked and nearly cold, my partners duck was ok but over cook. The meal took so long we became bored being at the restaurant. If you have a lot of time to spare the restaurant will be ok for you. Not a happy experience.

We just a quick lunch stop at Le Relais. We ordered a salade cayrac (green salad with walnuts and a Roquefort cheese and a vinegraitte) and a duck leg with fries. It was well prepared and tasty, and quickly and friendly served. Nice bread to go with the meal and the espresso was served with a small dark Toblerone chocolate, a little touch which we liked. Prices were ok. You can sit outside in the square which we enjoyed. Toilet(s) leave a lot to be desired: Tiny room, no soap, but hot water. These facilities are in need for renovation since the 80s. Salad 4 points, duck a 3 to 3 1/2 points, service 4 points, and bathroom 0 to 1 point. Make it a three in total for me.

"This 3-star hotel hides an amazing secret: a Michelin quality restaurant with a recommended bib gourmand michelin 2019 at an incredibly low price. every year we make a 2-hour trip to eat here for lunch, our favorite restaurant in the region despite a house near a Michelin star restaurant in the next village the hotel/restaurant is run by a married couple, mme patricia visellach is the maître d', and herr denis visellach the quite brilliant chef. we collect from the cook that he has chosen consciously to avoid the strict of Michelin stars and knock out impact on the price, especially as a prats is a little out of the way for many people. that means he has complete freedom to practice his ingenuity. the eating is always inventive and always offers a wonderful mix of aromen we go in the rule for the top fixed price menu that this year was €59 including weine. for this we had a precursor of exquisite foie grass with a layer of apricotsen furrow accompanied by discs of nectarin. the second cure was visually exceptional with a jet black kabeljau, mixed with garlic and formed into a firm wedge that looked nothing other than fish. it was accompanied by small pieces of seafood and a sauce, and it tasted fantastic the third cure was perfectly cooked bark steak in a mushroom sauce. the fourth cure was a selection of cheeses and finally there was a mixed dessert of delicately aromatized meringue with the merestic note of anized, lemon ice, a soft tocuit and apricose gland. you will not be hungry we were also the night in the hotel. the rooms are clean, but basic, on another clientele, namely longer-term stayers, which are there for the mountain. Therefore, note that half and full board stays do not contain the type of menu described above. they will get good but more basic food. so if you want to spend the night and have a good meal, simply go for bed and breakfast and buy the evening (or midday) meal separated my wife and I can not recommend this restaurant enough. we'd be staring if we could!"
