"Ordered a birthday meal this evening: spring rolls ok, sweet and sour chicken barely tolerable, chicken chow mein wouldn 't feed this to my dogs (and really didn 't). The meal was twenty minutes late but we weren 't too concerned about that as they said at the outset that they couldn 't guarantee a time. However, the quality of food was not to put too fine a point on it disgusting. The chicken in the chow mein was slimy, like slug slimy, or eel slimy, or long dead animal slimy, and totally unpalatable. TBH I was on the verge of contacting the Food Standards Agency (and yet might) as this 'stuff ' was not fit for human consumption. I genuinely refused to feed it to my dogs, much to their disappointment (trust me dogs, I saved you a night of gastric discomfort). Called for a refund and received an inquisition about which bits were ok and which bits weren 't and how much of each of each we had eaten, none of which was relevant to us as we did not want to spend the rest of the birthday evening analysing the quality (or not) of every single mouthful. Eventually they promised a refund for the chow mein (we await receipt of this, it had better arrive). In years gone by this was the best Chinese takeaway in the area, I can only wonder what 'Renaissance ' means in their takeaway world but I 'd substitute the word with 'Road Kill ' or some such. Will never even think about a takeaway from this establishment again."

This IS the best Chinese takeaway in Cornwall, Plymouth, Devon and several places in Spain. Please do not doubt, and only enjoy.

Absolutely shocking. By far the worst takeaway I have ever received. Flavours were terrible, meat had no taste, and what's with putting vegetables in a chow mean?

Not our local area, but met with friends and ordered takeout from here. Good fresh food across a selection of dishes (special chow mein and a few sweet and sour dishes)

I thoroughly enjoyed the king prawns and fresh mushrooms - they were delicious. The duck dishes are all fantastic and the Singapore rice noodles and king prawn fried rice were also great choices.

The restaurant offers a good menu of hot food, although there may be a wait at times. It is recommended to pick up your order. There is a nice selection of different dishes compared to other takeout options.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS Friendly girl on the phone and then when I collected equally friendly front of house. Then extra bonus I found out they’ll deliver to us!!! Will definitely be using HotWok for our Chinese takeaways again. THANK YOU.

The food was exquisite, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was impeccably clean and spacious. They offered a wide variety of delicious Chinese dishes that were expertly prepared and served. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Sorry but Just phoned Hot Wok Liskeard Tonight (16/06/2023). They no longer accept credit cards, cash or drop in only. **** well lost my faith and orders from now on. Leave well alone as they cannot be bothered to trust a debit card that is valid. five years on they have lost my custom. Well done Hot Wok another customer lost.

From out of the area on holiday and really fancied a night in with a Chinese. Using Trip Advisor we came across this one. Wow! It was amazing. They were generous on the portion sizes and the cost was spot on. Definitely recommend. One thing it’s cash only. Be prepared as we wasn’t and then had to go looking for a cash point. Not easy when not familiar with the area.
