I visited this restaurant twice and the food and service was very good. An interesting setting right around the corner from my B&B.

We only had lunch there but such a relaxing, peaceful atmosfere. Although some things were not available, what we had to eat was exquisit.

It is a historic establishment in Montsegur. The atmosphere is very rustic and pleasant. Still, it's best to ask to be shown the room before taking it if you don't want a surprise. Bad conduct, the restaurant manager disrespects his customers and behaves in a humiliating and disrespectful manner. When we arrived the restaurant was not full at 00:30 and because we arrived two more people than the reservation did not allow us to stay and kicked us out. I have been to many prestigious places in my life and I have never encountered anything like this.

In the village at the foot of the extroadinary last Cathar stronghold Montségur, Hotel Costes welcomes pilgrims and visitors with excellent vin rosé and well cooked very tasty dishes, including vegetarian and vegan choices. Try the mixed pepper cutlets, the huge salads and home cooked...(excellent) French fries. The new owner from Bordeaux has breathed new life into this restaurant, respectful of the Cathar traditions. His depiction of the Cathar prayer is a photo I have on my phone to read often.

After tripping up to the castle in my flip flop sandals (walking shoes at the front door of the house didn't make it to the car) I desperately needed a victory lunch and found this lovely haven. The service was a bit dodgy ...eye contact hard to get with the busy waitress. Half of the dishes on the menu were sold out, leaving not much choice. Après avoir connecté avec l'énergie et la vibration du pog de Montségur, le chaleureux accueil est super, chez le resto Costes Des très bons plats, un choix pour végétarien/vegan inclus, et il y a du vin bio, sans sulphites. Merci Patrice This is a charming, well run restaurant in the heart of the village. It is a great place for lunch after climbing Montségur and being immersed in the history and energies of this sacred spot. Our group liked the vegetarian and vegan options, appreciated soya milk cappuccinos and the good selection of organic sulphite free wines on the menu.

On Thursday for lunch. Despite only another couple, it seemed to be a problem that we chose a table in the shade. After we ordered food and served drinks, we were informed that they did not accept cards only cash or cheques.... We only had enough money to buy a child meal for my son who seemed to annoy the cook (which we assumed was the owner. There was another family that faced the same issue.
