"A restaurant off the beaten path, but only a few minutes from the congested downtown area (parking on site). The menu is German, but the creative presentations and quality are well above average. Case in point -the Zanderfliet is three thick fish filets on sauerkraut...with a potato cake atop of each with an excellent, mild sauce baked. It may sound like an odd combination, but every bite melts in your mouth. The so-called Schnitzel is composed of two thin cut pork slices rolled and stuffed with cheeses and herds, then coated with a thin batter and baked. Presented with a white sauce and thin egg noodles. Outstanding! Every meal includes their unique salad bar with or various salads and sliced vegetables cucumbers, lettuces, beets, carrots, slaw, cabbage salads, pine nuts and two different dressing for your choosing. The whole experience is excellent. Have eaten there three times in the past month and will be returning to try more of their menu. Just a tidbit higher then other local German restaurants, but not over-priced and well worth every Euro. Super, very friendly service. No English menus. Beware Sundays all usually booked! Make a reservation. Tired of the same old German food try Frohlich!"
