Lovely first experience of Scottish cuisine in a fantastic setting. Staff were really attentive and the food was very good reasonably priced, would recommend for first timers or those looking for a proper bite to eat

We had a fantastic dinner with delicious appetizers and a stunning main course. The staff were extremely helpful, offering to call a taxi for us if we needed a local number. The only downside is that we were just visiting Edinburgh, otherwise we would definitely book another table there soon!

Located very close to Calton Hill, this place is relatively crowded when we visited. The food tasted amazing with such a beautiful interior to give extra warmth to customers. I ordered set menu with 2 drinks. I could say the food was charged in a fair price, but it was relatively expensive for the drink. Overall good experience.

my friend led me before 2 weeks to Howies,Waterloo Place,Edinburgh and I enjoyed it so much I took my man with to taste it culinary delights. eating is simply delicious with something that suits every taste and the presentation is perfect. the workers know very well about the food and very attentive without being too persistent. The food here was good, we had their set dinner for 2 courses for 20 pounds, although we had to add an additional 2 and 7 pounds, for the catch of the day and lamb rump, respectively. Food were seasoned well meat or fish were not overcooked or too dry, calamari was not oily, and we enjoyed the mackerel pate. Reasonably priced overall. We note that our server’s customer service was below average, however she was chatting it up and significantly more friendly with the table next to us.

I had an incredible experience at this restaurant. The food is of high quality and very tasty, with vegan options available. The desserts are especially delicious and I highly recommend trying them. They offer a soup of the day and fish of the day, always made with fresh ingredients. The interior of the restaurant is well-furnished and the staff is helpful and friendly. Every time I have dined here, I have left extremely satisfied and happy with my meal. Although it is not the most affordable place, I believe it is worth it!

The restaurant is conveniently located at the entrance to Calton Hill, in a beautiful building with an impressive interior dining room. The room has a high ceiling, creating a great atmosphere. Be sure to request a table in the dining room for the full experience, as there are only a few tables in the lobby area. The menu offered a variety of interesting options, making it difficult to choose. The specials were generous in portion size. All the dishes we ordered were beautifully presented and expertly prepared. The service was attentive, professional, and friendly. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and even left the largest tip of our holiday. Highly recommended. Ver carta
