Great place if you want to check out Italian Cuisine in Paris. Great place, very nostalgic ambience and great service. The serving is large and price is reasonable.

This restaurant offers a wide variety of pastas. I enjoyed the food and I strongly recommend this typical Italian restaurant. If you love Italian food, this is the place !

My husband and I were walking past and were intrigued by the Italian flair. Taking a walk inside, we were hooked with the sights and smells of Italy! We sat at one of the small tables in the front so we could still be...somewhat outside. The service was good, and the food was better! We shared an amazing bottle of wine that complemented our food magnificently. We will be coming back here!

We arrived a group of despite the busy restaurant the waiter found us tables of four and later moved us together. Delicious pasta dishes, wonderful salad plate and very accommodating service. Yes to every request we had (one of the guests is vegan. ...the service was great. Deserts were fabulous, amazing tirimiso and wonderful ice cream Sunday. Great Italian find in the Montparnasse area. It’s across the street from a highly rated bistro, but offers MUCH better service and attentiveness! Best to book a table, they fill up fast — we booked through thefork (TripAdvisor service), since the restaurant didn’t have an...online booking service nor website we could find. I had the frito misto (shrimp and calamari), hubby had the gnocchi; and we finished with the panna cotta...yum!

I am a former (British) exile in Italy, now in France hoping to escape the abomination of Brexit. As owner of an apartment in Paris, no longer living it Italy, I crave Italian food. There is too much mediocre, and much faux'. IL BARONE...is something else. To be honest, you'll not eat much better even in Italia. Fabulous anti-pasti buffet, pasta made on the premises and the salse are to die for if you order taglioni con carciofi, you'll remember it for decades. It goes on. But the best thing is the proof of all this the why and wherefore talk to the lads from Reggio di Calabria THEY MEAN IT, and you can taste it. France makes so much of its food, but the best is here. My mother had had lunch at Il Barone years ago while living in Paris and had loved it, so she wanted to introduce me to it this trip. We are really serious foodies and love to eat different cuisines sometimes when in France, not...just French. We have traveled in France extensively and have lived here several times, and have also traveled throughout Italy and are Italian by heritage on my Mom's father's side. We can say without hesitation that this is the best Italian food we have had. We started with the lovely finely sliced, flavorful Prosciutto di Parma and fresh, yummy melon. The Lasagna alla Bolognese was so flavorful, with a delicious Béchamel sauce, sublimely thin, homemade pasta and... Ver carta
