A friend often says: it's good to know where to go but it's equally good to know where not to go! In this case here's where not to go: the nook in Marina di Campo. Basic cuisine at a high price and terrible quality! A fillet of John Dory fish that looks exactly like frozen cod; an Angus burger that looks like a supermarket beef burger. Stay away! I went for lunch today as it was the only restaurant open in the area. Two seafood risottos and spaghetti with clams, everything okay. we hadn't ordered fried polenta, they brought it to us and we, thinking it was an entree, ate it... when we got to the cash register we found it debited from the bill; €7 for three fried pieces of polenta. We had 2 exceptionally nice evenings at Il Cantuccio ! (After the first meal we definitely had to go back). It 's definitely worth asking about specialties off the menu (the risotto alla sepia nera was excellent). The service is also worth highlighting: nowhere else in Marina di Campo have we been looked after in such a friendly and competent manner! Thank you! I can give an overall opinion for 3 meals, two in the evening and a lunch.. very nice and well-kept place, attentive and fast service, also operational at the end of November as in the hot high season months!! They make you feel at home.. first dinner two very special fish dishes with calamari with pesto and grilled vegetables sparkling water .. bitters and total coffee. 59 euros Second dinner 2 really delicious pizzas with beer.. they also have beer on tap coffee and bitters Third dinner lunch with two first shows especially the rock!!
