we were eating with 8 friends in the il ghiotto today. we were all excited about eating. all dishes were excellent cooked. very friendly service, which goes very well on small children and from itself brings out the pizzas for the little ones. the more demanding foods of the card are not cheap (Kalbs-Tomahawk with sweet and 2 kartoffels, very good, 38.-€). a white, a red open wine. very good food, beautiful view in the deweerthschen garden. in the summer you sit outside. very good Italian, recommended.

the restaurant has been in operation since a year.In the beginning the kitchen was very average but with the time has improved more and more.The ambiente inside is beautiful and completely new even if not very cozy.The staff is always very attentive and makes everything a gast feels comfortable.The eating is very good and the price is right.The terrace in summer is pleasant and beautiful.Immer happy again

After trying many Italian restaurants in Wuppertal & surroundings, this is surely the best one I've found so far. Unlike many other restaurants, the cuisine here is truly authentic Italian, and the ingredients are fresh and high quality. It is not cheap but considering the quality, it is very good value for money. The ambience is also very nice, with large window walls and lots of light coming in. Staff is friendly and competent. After several visits, I can only confirm my first review: great and very attentive service, reasonable map - supplemented by the daily dishes that change each time. so far the recommendations were always perfect, the kitchen is really good and ingenious. great appetizers, the suppen should be tasted, especially now in winter as an appetizer. the different fish dishes from the tageskarte are great class, pizza and pasta I can also recommend. there is no disappointment in the dessert. I really recommend the (red) house wine. Price-performance ratio very excellent!

I was for the first time with friends in the il ghiotto last Saturday. before: eating was good, but also no longer; I've eaten "in Italian" around the corner better. the portions (if you can call them that at all) are clearly visible, says: much space on the teller. I'm not someone who needs huge portions, but I want to be fed. Appearing tiny, expensive, main dishes as well. There was a bad joke: "How did they find their carvings?" Answer: "Shipped under a salat leaf"! is true here, only salat did not give it. Very good new discovery in Louisenviertel. Il Ghiotto has a very interesting and enticing menu. The atmosphere is cosy despite the big glass windows (the restaurant is basically a glass house extension) giving onto a small park with playground. The service was very friendly throughout. The menu had a very good selection of starters, pasta, meat, fish, and pizzas, plus half a dozen of specials. We had starters of burrata and roasted piglet slice with goat cheese and asparagus (both yummy, but the mozzarella a bit too cold out of the fridge). We then ordered truffle pasta with beef slices, which was delicious, with loads of truffle, and ravioli with pear and pecorino, also good, unfortunately... Ver carta
