"My friend and I were looking for a place to eat on a Saturday evening and decided to give this restaurant a try. When we arrived, we had to wait to be greeted as the only other diners were having their food served. The table we requested had to be cleared first and we noticed that the restaurant lacked ambiance and soft furnishings to absorb the noise. The food was disappointing, with my mussels starter being drowned in a jar of Ragu and my main dish being served unevenly hot and cold. My friend's dish was so unappealing that she left most of it uneaten. A group of noisy diners nearby made it difficult for us to enjoy our meal. Overall, the experience felt more like a canteen than a restaurant and I would not recommend Il Padrino to anyone unless they improve their service and food quality."

The person loved the pasta so much that they woke up the next day and danced a little on their way to celebrate the delicious meal they had eaten the night before at such an affordable price.

Had a meal here on Friday lunchtime and it was absolutely fantastic, beautifully cooked and presented and tasted so authentic. The lady who was serving was so nice and pleasant.It's great to find an Italian restaurant open on a lunchtime which suits us. Will definitely visit again.
