Been here many times. Food is fantastic, very tasty. You can’t fault the service. Servers are very polite, chatty and extremely helpful. Going again next week with my mum who is gluten free, will be interested to see what she thinks!

I am always impressed by the quality of food at Il Pavone. The dishes are consistently top-notch and rank among the best Italian cuisine in Glasgow. The atmosphere is always lively, and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, it offers great value for money. I would highly recommend it to friends and family. The best Italian restaurant in Glasgow! A few days ago, I went for dinner with a group of friends. Even though we were quite a large party and the restaurant was bustling, the staff quickly prepared a table for us. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, and our food arrived faster than expected. It was amazing! I personally had the house-made pâté and pasta with chicken and broccoli. I can confidently say that we had one of the best dining experiences ever. We'll definitely be coming back! Ver carta

I've never written a review before, but after reading the ones below, I felt compelled to share my thoughts! It seems they really don't grasp what makes this place special. I've been a regular for years, and what sets this restaurant apart from the others is the incredible, authentic family service, the fantastic food (prepared in the traditional Italian way), and the generous portion sizes that offer great value for money! Restaurant was almost empty yet taken to a table at the back next to pikes of stacked chairs. Food was awful. Undercooked ravioli and bland but salty sauce on each dish . We had a few bites and left it. Waiter collected plates and no interest or comment on the fact we had left our food. Staff standing around chatting front of house isn’t a professional look and made you feel you were being watched! Table next to us which was very close was cleaned using a smelly spray and cloth. Very off putting while eating! Now you do need to clean tables but perhaps spray the cloth before approaching, rather than spray the table right next to people eating? Really disappointing experience and won’t return...

Table booked for 6pm , when my friend and hadn’t decide on our food by 6.25 we were informed by a female member of staff that if we didn’t decide we wouldn’t be eating as the kitchen closes at 7pm! yet is advertised as being open until 10.30 on website. Indeed, we saw members of staff leave between 7 7.30pm and by 8 on we were receiving very definite cues that the remaining members of staff wanted to leave as they removed the menus and salt dish from our table. Didn’t appreciate the fall out from the spray cleaning of the table in very close proximity to ours.
