Unique experience! Small menu and great food certainly more than you would expect from a small town that you have to walk to across a steep bridge!

Spectacular location, characteristic and full of fascina. Very good food, special combinations that represent an explosion of taste to the palate. Note of merit to the owner, nice and welcoming.

Really very nice, warm and welcoming place, dug in the rock. Friendly service, attentive enough, punctual and fast. Good quality food but slightly scarce portions and quite high prices. It would have been almost perfect if they were slightly more generous in the kitchen. Anyway, I'd recommend the club. Service: Dine in

we happened in this restaurant on a Saturday of October! so many people and we had to wait for a table, but it was worth it... superlative appetizer, first fantastic and tasty, second excellent, sweet superlative. account in the standard for the quality we have appreciated. super note for the very kind and super helpful staff.

We thought it would be interesting to dine inside of an old Roman cistern, but the novelty quickly wore off. The food was mediocre at best. I have no idea how this place could have such good reviews.They clearly cater to tourists who must be wrapped up in the awe of Civita di Bagnoregio, which is quite a remarkable place to visit. A much better choice for lunch or dinner is Osteria Al Forno. Ver carta

The Pozzo dei Desideri is a cosy, characteristic restaurant, the staff is friendly and organized very efficient, the tufa smell recalls the history of Civita di Bagnoreggio, is one of those restaurants where they keep the kitchen operational even for late afternoon clients (arrival 15 hours). They were quick in the delivery of the dishes, with very short waiting times between one dish and the other, we degustato the local cutter, pasta alla amatriciana e medaglioni di manzo as well as contours of exquisite preparation. We'll be back for sure!

We had dinner here with a group of friends during our stay in Civita. When our evening was getting a bit of a nightmare (it seems that most of the restaurants in Civita do not take reservations and on top of that some get quite rude too -maybe because they get so many tourists! , we luckily found Il Pozzo dei desideri. Despite the place was full, the kind owners prepare us a table on the side of the road overlooking the little square...perfect! we wouldnt have asked for a better quiet spot to enjoy the charm of the village! We ordered several dishes (umbrian home made pasta with truffle and local cheese, deer stew, ravioli with deer ragu, chicory as a side dish . Everything was delicious and...

I'm always sorry to have a negative review, not entirely negative though. The feeling is that Civita exploits the situation and the moment to the maximum detriment of the quality and well-being of visitors and customers... and the service. The restaurant of per se is not so bad, in a kind of tuff cellar where however lacks the air, then not recommended to the claustrophobics. After 10 minutes they bring us water. Ambient temperature. Out 35 degrees. I'm asking them to bring us fresh. _ Time to order. We order the Swiss in bacon crust. After 45 minutes from nightmare I get up and I ask to pay and the girl tells me they're still preparing. Here are the 3 tiny Swiss (which then are 3 meatballs)... Ver carta
