Great pastas and risotto! Good service and they have a menu in english which was very helpful! Also Good relation price-quality!

Probably one of the better Italians I've been to. Fresh and good food, friendly and fast service , nice settings. I would suggest this place to any Italian food lover!!

Tucked away in a well populated side street, the menu is reasonably extensive with plenty of tables outside. Ideal for a brasserie style meal and for people watching. Modest cost Ver carta

Service was good, our food came very quickly.It wasn't too expensive in comparison to other restaurants, and the food was incredible. The vegetable lasagne I had was the best I've had by a mile, and my boyfriend's carbonara was also impeccable. Inside is lovely too, very classy. Would recommend highly.

Went there as it was listed as a GF friendly restaurant, and had just tried another which wasn't! The menu was available in English, but they also gave me the French menu as it showed the SG items.Had their beautiful cod and risotto, which I can throughly recommend. DH had the lasagne which he said was v nice (but not gluten free).Staff friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

I went to this place a couple of times being alone in Lille on sunday evening, the night before catching an early train. The interior keeps your eyes busy. Serving is fast. Food is good. Excellent wines by the glass.Deserts are very sweet. Watch out for "tarte citron": It dors not taste lemon at all, it is not a pie, it is a glass of crumble and whipped cream.... Best advise the nice servants to avoid any unattended surprises. Ver carta

During our annual visit of Lille (for the wine exchange) we changed our planning and instead of having a dinner somewhere in Belgium on the way home, we decided to have a good lunch in Lille in between the tasting of all the wine at the Grand Palais. Using Trip Advisor we choose Il Restaurante, and what a good choice. Entrée and main dish were very good. End although tasting a lot of French red wines, we loved the bottle of Ripasso. Nice ambiance, very friendly staff. We’ll be back next year.

We arrived very soon after this place opened and it appeared there were few staff on duty. The one person around was very slow to serve us and take our order. Our French is 'a work in progress' but we have a reasonable grasp of 'food french'. However, the waiter wasn't that keen on trying to explain something to us (my wife is a vegetarian so this was important). When the food came it was on cold plates and this had made my wife's dish too cold to eat so we sent it back. By this time a waitress had taken over serving us and she was much more helpful. When it came to dessert she even offered us an English menu - no idea why the main waiter didn't do this.

Having seen the reviews on TripAdvisor for this restaurant and being lovers of Italian food we thought we would give it a go. Called in late afternoon and booked a table, the option timings were for 7 PM or 9 PM so we went for the 7 o'clock sitting. Arrived promptly at seven and found a little wait while the waiting staff were obviously having their briefing. Finally led to a table by a very courteous young lady. Good menu choice but disappointed they did not have a gin and tonic on the options. Starting with a cocktail and a Kia Royal aperitif followed by a platter starter to share. We ordered a bottle of Italian wine a Montepulciano which arrived during our aperitifs and left to breathe. T... Ver carta
