"We stayed at Ibis nearby therefore this restaurant was the perfect choice considering the location. We ate there first time on may 16 and we enjoyed the food and service (especially the waiter on duty that evening). Therefore, as we came back in Acireale one week later, we returned to Il Rustico on 22nd of May this year. This time we were completely disappointed especially by the service. This time was very crowded, the waiter (man) in service didn't want to come by our table anymore to take the order after we weren't able to order immediately upon arrival. After waiting quite long, there was a girl waiter who took the order from us. After that .... we had to insist more than once for the sparkling water ordered, I had the Involtini alla siciliana (with beef) and I got 3 very little meat rolls, I don't know if there were 100 g there ... Please understand, I am not a eater, I don't need much food to be contempt, but this was ... like a starter if not less. My husband had sword fish involtini and he got 5 pieces so ... I don't know. We also ordered 2 portions of potato fries and we got only one. I thought that the girl didn't get me as she had poor english so I didn't insist on that ... only when the bill came, we had to pay for 2 portions so she got me well but they didn't deliver. I didn't say anything though, we payed and left as we didn't know how to leave sooner. I'm sorry Il Rustico, first experience was a pleasant one (thanks to the waiter on duty on may 16 evening), second one was very disappointing ... I dind't know what to think ... I even thought that my beef involtini should be larger and someone thought of playing a nasty trick on us, not to mention paying 2 potato fries and getting one. I left with a bitter taste ..."

Food was good, but the service is super slow which ruins your experience. Overcrowded, and waiters can’t deal with the orders on time unfortunately.

Excellent food. Especially the smoked salmon and grilled swordfish. The staff is very helpful although they do not really speak English, but if you know a little bit of Italian, you will be fine. I would give 5 stars but on the last evening of our vacation we went there to have dinner but they were closed, even though on google maps showed they are open... Ver carta

the position is not the maximum, but not so bad. simple, maybe a little old. but boys the dishes and especially the superlative pizza. super moisturized pasta and high quality ingredients, are the properties of this super good and super crunch pizza! friendly and familiar staff, we had dinner very well in a not too chaotic and friendly cotext, we were very well and we will definitely return. cozy place. friendly and helpful staff. the place we choose when we want good things or when we want to make beautiful figure with friends and relatives. the menu of fish is very abundant and every taste gives off the pleasure of the palate until you can not choose which one of all the courses tasted was the best. the amazing pizzas, made according to the Neapolitan method with high hydration dough, with ingredients of first choice and quality raw materials. The only pizza that does not make me feel thirsty during the night, with such a good taste that makes me want to eat it again. compliments to the restaurateur and his staff!
