Went there many time . Staff is friendly. Food is very authentic. Didn't miss India in Darmstadt. There thali for one person is good enough. He customised based on certain need and spice. Found better much better than Lahore palace.

I have been there with my girlfriend and I have to admit the place is good! The waiter was really kind to us and the food was very good! The sauces they have are really tasty especially the mint one! The spicy focaccia-bread is a must try!

The food is ok but nothing special and it is far overpriced. Guess it's due to the fact that it's never very busy as far too expensive for the quality of the food.Pity as it's close by us but if you pay those prices you prefer something better. Ver carta

Food is reasonably comparable with the UK. Mixed starters samoasa pakoras etc. very good. The staff are friendly and helpful. The boss remembers me even though I am an infrequent visitor. For me this is the best Indian in Darmstadt. Additional advantage is that they have parking spaced behind the restaurant!

I went to this restaurant for a lunch. Due to construction going on it is very hard to find the entrance. Having said that, the inside is complete run down. It would appear as if you have ended up in some home where kids have just finished their play time. The price of food doesn't go down with this though!As someone mentioned the Veg Samosa was definitely microwaved as that makes the skin go soggier.Anyways; food was just alright so the 3 stars. Will not go again or recommend anyone.

We went with our adult children on a Saturday night and as there were 5 of us we had booked a table, there was no need the place was practically empty and now I know why. We ordered our dishes from the menu by name but when delivered the waitress just guoted numbers and could not properly identify the various dishes. As is the case with Indian restaurants in Darmstad the menu was priced as exotic, in other words overpriced. When it was time to pay this same waitress would not accept a visa card despite there being a sticker for both visa and master card on the front door. The food was not bad, but there is no need to return, much better food service and ambience at the Lahore Palace. Ver carta

looking at good reviews and rating we have been to this place to get disappointed and looted.The dish of the day was as expensive as 22 euros Still we sat and ordered gobi parantha, paneer and muttonThe parantha was just ok, with minimal filling and lots of oil/butter to it.The paneer and mutton gravy was so less in quantity that we began to wonder why have we paid €13 and €16 respectively for this dishes. Anyways lets come to taste the mutton was half cooked and so was rice.And later comes the shahi lassi, no surprise here there was nothing shahi in it, full of cocunut water n hardly one almond and it was thin as water ...disgusting experience total wastage of time and money.I pity on local...

Our local Indian in Darmstadt is the Shalimar (see separate review) but we thought we'd try out the Indian Palace for a change.It was nice to not have the chaos of the Shalimar - the table was ready as reserved, as it should be. The restaurant appears to be family run and you are greeted and served in a warm and friendly way.The papadams we shared to start were spiced with a little pepper and were delicious. The main courses came (a little too quickly).
