Indian Village - Carta

Tried for the first time was very impressed. Lovely attentive staff and fabulous food. Probably the best Indian restaurant in Lichfield.

We ate at the restaurant on Friday night and had the most amazing lamb curry . The staff are always so polite and friendly and the food is second to none . We cannot recommend it enough

I recently visited Indian Village with my wife and we had an amazing meal. The lamb chops were outstanding and the Jalfrezi with green chillis had just the right amount of heat. The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be returning with our friends. Ver carta

Went here for the first time, highly recommended by friends. Yes the food was lovely, but and a big but,the owner of this establishment should actually learn some manners and respect for his paying customers,it's a terrible shame that a business is let down by the so called owners attitude and manners.

This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. The food, service, and hospitality are unmatched. The staff are just as impressive as the delicious food, from the generous mixed grill with amazing giant prawns and huge lamb chops, to the fluffy naan breads and flavorful curries. It was a fantastic dining experience and I am eager to return. Thank you, guys!

Went here last Sunday , from the welcome to the food the evening was fabulous . My husband had chicken Tikka as usual which he said was great. I had my favourite Scallops but asked for a bigger portion for my main as it’s only on the menu as a starter. Everyone should try this once in their life it’s absolutely delicious. The sauce is to die for. What a wonderful evening , will be back next week ! 10/10 Ver carta

We went to the restaurant at 10pm on a Saturday night, which is not unusual. However, we were turned away because the chef had decided to go home. This is not a great way to run a business. We then went to Bengal and had a fantastic night with a warm welcome. We did not get to try the food, but the exterior of the building is in a state of disrepair. The sign is cheap and hanging from the wall, not in keeping with Lichfield. We will not be returning for fear of being turned away again.

Hoping you and loved ones are safe during this global pandemic. Last night whilst observing social distancing I collected our first curry for 31 days from the Indian village in Lichfield. The guys have got a really good system worked out to do this for anyone with concerns you will be safe. Liam greeted me at the top of the stairs more than 2m distant and called me when my order was ready to collect. My wife and I really enjoyed the curry and had it cooked “low Salt” which is to our liking. Many thanks to guys there and stay safe. Barry Lisa

In these difficult times we thought we would treat ourselves to a takeaway. We had been told that the Lal Bagh was very good but as we didn 't know the town too well we asked a local where it was. They told us that Lal Bagh was a bit of a walk from where we had parked and that the Indian Village was just around the corner and they said it was also good, sadly the meal was very disappointing. The mains and the rice were far too salty to a point where you could barely taste the flavours, both the mains were very thin, very similar base and taste.
