"Avoid this place if you like a proper curry with good customer service!! . Ordered poppadoms with sides dips to find all side dips watered down with extra vinegar that was over powering. Main I ordered a chicken madras, egg rice and chips to get a watered down powered curry with extra chilli power. Egg rice very sticky and tastes of dish water. Attitude of the young member of staff was shocking, when I advised that the food wasn’t any good and tired to explain why, I was told “it’s looks good to me” with attitude. To make this clear I didn’t eat any of the meal and wasn’t trying to get any money off, we paid the full £56 for the two meals and was just leaving feed back to top it off when directed to chef I was shocked to be told that he doesn’t user tomatoes for a tomato based curry (Madras) "

We went to Indigo for a New Year's Eve dinner with our family of six. The food was delicious, the service from the friendly staff was excellent, and everything was perfectly timed. Thank you.

This restaurant never disappoints. We selected from the special menu and had a fantastic treat. The great service enhances the delicious food. We usually dine in, but the takeout food is just as good. Treat yourself and give it a try. Ver carta

I have visited this restaurant multiple times with my wife and also with family friends. We have never been disappointed with the quality and variety of the food. The staff provides wonderful service, which is rare to find nowadays. Thank you to the entire team at Indigo.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon expecting it to be very busy. It was quiet which usually means buffet items sat in dishes that look like they have been there for hours. Not here as every starter and main curry was hot and looked fresh. The quality of the food is very good with plenty of starters and mains. Friendly staff. Recommended Sunday buffet

We have been many times before. It was a Monday night but fairly busy. My wife and I both had a soft drink and a main course and a starter. Being a Monday Night it was 2 for 1 on both starters and main courses. I had the Indigo Tandoori special to start followed by Chicken Shashlik. It was delicious. The main course was spicier than I would normally have tried but I am really glad that I did choose it. My wife chose similar. The bill was £31.50. A terrific meal at a wonderful price. Ver carta

Went on a Monday evening last minute after hearing about a 2 for 1 offer. Family of 4 shared poppadoms, 2 starters 2 Curries. Were not made aware you had to order one per person to get anything free. So came away after our me away realised it was pricy . We shared as we weren't mega hungry, Monday night tea . So Walked away 2 free starters 2 free curries down as we weren't made aware of the offer. Called the restaurant and apparently the policy is that you have to ask . The restaurant was dead, 3 tables in , you would think you would look after your customers. We usually get a takeaway from here. Not anymore will not revisit after this occasion.

We have been coming to Indigo for a good many years and love the place. Great for couples, families we bring our five year old regularly and groups. The food is always spot on, we’ve tried most of the dishes and all are excellent, and the service couldn’t be better. Always a smile and a chat from the guys we’ve know for years and someone I don’t think I’ve met before was amazing with my boy tonight! Sorry I don’t know your name! helped me encourage him that sweets and ice cream isn’t gonna make him big and strong! In summary I recommend chicken pakora, lamb fiaza for starter and flambé, duck tikka or chicken shashlik for main. And if you’ve not been before definitely the best Indian restaur...

"Well, it 's been a while since I 've reviewed a place but this little gem has certainly reawakened my vigour for it. Visited this evening as a kind of belated birthday celebration with my husband and son and very glad we did indeed. We happened upon this place a few weeks back (passing by and grabbing a cocktail after the days plans fell through and instantly took to the place and it 's wonderful staff and from the off had intentions to visit again an so finally did tonight), within seconds of seating ourself at the bar we were remembered by the owners, which to me shows great calibre on the customer service front. As someone with an exceptionally sweet tooth when it comes to alcohol it was our lucky day to find they had cocktails on 2for£10 and hell can the owner Jo mix like a minx (even doing us an off menu blend to account for tastes). The husband not being a big drinker happily sat at the bar chatting with staff and customers nursing his Peroni whilst me and my son dived headlong into the extensive classical and modern mixed cocktail list. Having been lured into great expectations (previously sampling delicious tasters) from Jo 's lovely husband Dave on our first brief visit we were definitely eagerly placed to dive into dinner tonight. Our lovely waitress Sian, stood patiently while we chopped and changed idea 's and orders, laughed with us, checked regularly everything was to our tastes as did the other young waitress that dropped drinks over to us. Both girls portraying the perfect mix of friendly and professional, a refreshing change to be served by people that clearly enjoy their working environment. And on to the food... we started with olives (and boy was it a substantial portion in comparison with some establishments weak efforts), hubby was first in there, impressed with the quality of marinade (too many places these days forget the little efforts like this thinking folk can 't differentiate something tipped out of a supermarket packet). After much debate (I had my eye on far too many dishes) choices were made, Hubby had the Filo Kefta, which had a light pastry, adequate spice and smoothly complimentary dip, for main he went with the day 's Special of Lamb with fondant potato, heritage carrots and a divinely velvety Jus which he thoroughly enjoyed (and he 's hard to please, being well versed himself and making a point of getting the lovely Chef Darren a glass of wine in appreciation). The lad had a Sirloin steak burger cooked medium rare and is now demanding we visit again soon. lol I went with the Gravlax to start, instantly aware of the clean flavour from its curing cutting through (I even brought a titbit home for my kitty to enjoy), as for main, I 'd initially had my mind on fish but upon discovering the owner Jo was also a blue steak lover I had to try one there and wow they really take care in choosing their suppliers because that was an A grade cut of meat, even my son (who prefers medium-rare) upon trying a slice said it was an exceptional piece of meat I had it with asparagus, no sauce and swapped out the chips for a feta/pepper bowl which worked perfectly as did the glass of Shiraz that Jo picked out to compliment it for me. Genuinely I can not pick fault (read through my other reviews I write honestly, pick fault where warranted and compliment where due). Had this lovely little find been in our usual local it would surely become a regular haunt ours for sure. I would 100% recommend this place and extend our gratitude to all the staff for making our entire visit memorable and perfect."

"We were in Bury for a few days visiting family and the weather was beautiful , we live on the Wirral and frequently visit Brasco lounge in Liverpool of the same chain , which we love. We actually visited Racconto lounge 3 times on our visit , first time we had a brunch of bacon and egg muffin , which we really enjoyed (although the bacon was very salty) The next day we came back and had a lounge breakfast , and the following day we brought my husbands mum , and drank cups of tea while resting from shopping . We enjoyed all the meals , and its lovely inside , although we ate on the terrace in the sunshine and we found all the staff very pleasant and friendly . But..... we had 2 things let it down for us . Firstly on each occasion , the service was extremely slow, when we had breakfast , it wasn't very busy , but we waited ages , although our tea was brought out well before the food , meaning we then had no drinks to go with the food . The second problem was , after waiting ages , we had to send the breakfast back as it was really cold , and it seemed like it had been sat waiting , almost as long as we had , the bacon on both the breakfast muffin and the breakfast was really , really salty also. None of this would put us off , as we enjoyed the dining experience overall , but if you are in a rush , i really wouldn't recommend eating here , as the wait was alot longer than expected every time ."
