"Every Wednesday I eat Indian food in London. So when coming here in Berlin I was delighted to find this place. It turns out that Maharadscha is the second oldest Indian restaurant in Berlin which is already a milestone worthy of anyone's time. As always I start with the naam bread which was very pleasing to soften the blow of the incredible spices. This is truly an amazing authentic Indian restaurant that is without a doubt the best I've been too (on a par with malabar in London). This was a great end to my tour through Berlin. As always in Indian restaurants I got the Chicken Korma and was not disappointed. This beautifully presented dish always goes down well with the Cobra beer or a light wine. My friend was also very pleases with the very spicy Chicken Madras which although he couldn't handle was amazingly done, much respect to the chef. Luckily as we came late and I wanted a second chicken korma they offered a takeaway service which was much to my delight. We had a great chat with the owner and other staff and they really made the night as special as it was. The lively atmosphere was a big bonus accompanied by a really thoughtful playlist of appropriate songs. Finally the pricing was remarkably low for the high quality of the dishes we were given. If i had to summarise my feelings in one way I would say that if I wanted to run my own restaurant I would hope for it to be as good as this one."

Food is really good, the service was really warmy. I just think is a little expensive if you are on a tight budget.

Probably the best Indian restaurant I have come across anywhere in Europe. Authentic dishes and very friendly service will make this family-run unpretentious restaurant one of the culinary highlights of your visit to Berlin. The cuisine is mainly from northern India, and you will find all the classics that are common to Indian restaurants but also some special dishes try the duck ! Definitely one to try in this city.

We reserved a table because we had heard the restaurant can get busy at times, but we needn't have bothered as there were plenty of empty tables at 8.00pm on Monday. The service was good, the staff cheerful, polite and helpful. They say meals are made to order which can mean waiting a while but order was pretty quick. The food was extra spicy (that's a good thing as far as I'm concerned) and of a good size. We all walked away happy and feeling well fed. The prices are very reasonable so, yes, we'd come here again. After days of Dutch and German food in Amsterdam and Berlin, we decided to try out an Indian restaurant in Berlin. We started our meal off with some appetizers: samosas, onion bhaji, and panir pakora. The appetizers were pretty good, but I was most impressed by the samosas. For my entree, I chose to try Shahi Bengan (eggplant stuffed with homemade cheese, nuts, and raisins in piquant sauce). It was okay but I couldn't really taste the cheese, nuts, or raisins the sauce overpowered the taste of the eggplant or its stuffing. The owners were very involved in the service and stopped by several times to ask how we were enjoying our meal. We sat outside, and the weather and the ambiance was deligh...

Twas my last night in Germany and i said hmmm let me try noon German food in Germany. After an extensive search for a meal, i decided on Indian. I walked in to a colorful restuarant with a very nice hostess who also spoke english. The place wasn't that packed and she told me to sit where i wanted. The prices were decent and i felt a little less than indian food in New York, but then i felt like everything from Europe was cheaper than New York. I opted on the fried prawn which was fried in lentil flour i believe. And the fried lamb. The flavors were yummy and not greasy which i loved. I also got a mango lassi. It tasted so yummy. I cant describe it but it was definitly different than Lassi ha...

Definitely the best Indian food I 've ever had and possibly the best food I 've ever had. We started with the samosas and the cauliflower pakoras. The samosas were spiced beautifully and tasted great with the green chutney they served with it. We split an order of chicken tikka masala and an order or garlic naan for dinner. It was amazing. I couldn 't stop saying mmmmm... The menu is in German and English, so that was very helpful for this ignorant American. The service was very friendly and attentive. Cash only. Note: We came back two nights later because we had to have this food once more before we left. In addition to the samosas and garlic naan, we tried the Chana masala and the aloo gob... Ver carta

Best Indian food in Berlin! Flavors are truly authentic and really packs a punch both in terms of spiciness and the delicate balancing of flavors with a variety of Indian spices. I ordered the Tandoori chicken and mutton saag and my husband had the recommended duck and it did not disappoint. Coming from the US and being spoiled by great Indian restaurants, it 's been truly hard to find a good Indian restaurant in Berlin--I was so happy to find this place finally and it will become my go-to Indian restaurant in the city. Being Korean, I like a very high level of spiciness in my food and this place really brought the heat-not the German sharf but the Asian appropriate scharf level. Next time I...

Berlin has such a great food scene I thought finding a great Indian spot would be the night's adventure. After yelping it up, I came across Maharadscha. It took a while to get there and I am SO glad I did. Walking in the owner lady was obviously very busy with the service, but she made sure to stop and welcome me and get me to a table right away. The smell that one is hit with as you enter will give you the smile you know that will come with great Indian food. After looking over the excellent menu offerings, I opted for the duck (ente) tikka. It was sizzling at it hit the table and the only bad thing is that I had to let it cool off just a bit before jumping it. A painful wait. But that said...
