A bit difficult to spot from the street. Look for the Culture Cafe. Go up two flights of steps and you are here. This is quite simply outstanding Turkish food. The preparation is clearly done with pride and love. The burek is beautiful, literally, and quite tasty. The lentil soup is creamy and well seasoned and complex for lentil. An excellent selection of lamb dishes.

After seeing a good review about the food on line we popped in here yesterday before heading to City Hall for a show as it's literally opposite. We were a bit put off by the access up several flight of stairs and thought it was closed but what a gem! Staff were so friendly and the grilled chicken pitta and salad we had were delicious. I think it may caters more for the student takeaway market but there were tables to sit at too. If your looking for a quick, well cooked and very reasonable price tea this is a great choice.

Called in for lunch having recalled some good TA reviews and was so pleased I did. The restaurant was quiet and as I entered I asked if they took debit cards I had about 15 in cash but always like to be on the...safe side....they didn't take cash but the patron offered for me to order and go to the cash point or, get this, pay next time I visit!! This was my first visit plus I live in Kent but what a friendly, trusting response, blew me away! Ordered the mixed grill and sparkling water, got bread and a couple of sauces free of charge.... food took a little while to come but the chef was busy in the open plan kitchen throughout. When it arrived a plate full of grilled meats, two skewers of ch...
