Very good food, the owner is soooo Greek (which is a super positive thing! , an amazing and funny guy. The location is nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend it again and go again!

one of the most authentic Greek taverns in Britain! eating so well we had not the geduld to make photos of the individual dressed. certainly worth visiting if they are looking for an evening meal in buxton.

We arrived at this restaurant without a reservation, but they were able to seat us right away. The staff were all extremely friendly and the menu was so good that it was difficult to decide what to order. The food was delicious and tasted authentic. I would highly recommend dining here. Ver carta

The owner or manager Yanis, was very helpful with my gluten, dairy and soya free diet. He was able adapt menu items to suit. The service was excellent and the food so good we went back the following night. Great atmosphere although a little loud at times. Not the fault of the manager but the customers! If I’m ever back in Buxton I wouldn’t hesitate to return to Ithaca.

first time to eat here, we went in this evening simply because we liked the look of the restaurant, cozy and warm and the menu tasty. so glad we did. the staff was very warm and friendly. the atmosphere was perfect. the service was excellent and the food was sensational. can't fail at all. many thanks, young for my birthday special. we will return definitiw and I recommend all

Venue was lovely, all the staff were excellent. Food was very good, authentic. Only down side was we ordered a side of halumi fries which seemed very small for over £6. The manager came and explained politely how the portion size was decided. Very professional and friendly so no problem at all. We had the pre theatre menu which was reasonably priced. had one of the best meal times I ever had. he started with calamari and it was perfectly cooked. followed by sea bass with spinat risotto, which again perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. finished with a trio of mini desserts, all of which were excellent. service was very good. the personal was friendly and quick to react to us. I would recommend this place to everyone, and I will go back next time in buxton.

Booked an overnight stay in Buxton, so we could visit Ithica. We should have been travelling to Corfu to celebrate hubby's but due to covid cancelled. Having eaten here before, knew we would get an excellent Greek meal, and were not disappointed .Prawn saganaki, and village sausage to start, and lamb chops and cod loin on garlic mash for mains.followed by Greek orange cake, to die for.Washed down with ouzo and mythos..A truly Greek experience. absolutely top notch dining experience in ithaca. they highly recommend a table as other potential diners that had not booked were turned away. kind, warm welcome at arrival, delicious food and good service, what else do you need? there is an extensive menu and it was difficult to choose, as there were so many beautiful dishes, so as a compromise we chose a main dish and then added 4 appetizers and a part of the fret. all cooked to perfection and full taste. full plates to empty plates tell them everything they need to know. overall a super culinary experience and can not expect to visit again no hesitation in the recommended, enjoy!
