Went last night and ordered two burgers, a sausage and three portions of chips. The food was genuinely outstanding. We added bacon to one burger and an egg to the other. Both delicious and very filling. Very friendly service. Will definitely be going back. 10/10. Can't believe we've never been here before! Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner

Absolutely brilliant classic burger place. Total nostalgia. Been going for like 50 years and is a piece of local history. Top quality food for reasonable money. On the seventh day, Jake's was created, and it's nothing short of amazing. This take-away spot offers top-notch food that truly stands out. While it's a beloved local gem, it's definitely worth the trip for those willing to venture out. I visited Jake’s for the first time today after living in the area for about 18 years. As a Sikh, it has become increasingly difficult to find non-halal fast food options, as I cannot eat halal due to my faith (this is not a political stance!). I was thrilled to discover Jake’s, especially since they serve pork and a variety of other burgers. I tried the chicken burger, hot dog, and chicken pepper sandwich, all of which were cooked fresh right in front of me, including the onions. The prices are very reasonable, and everything tasted absolutely delicious. My dad, our dog (who waited outside as usual), and I will definitely be coming back again!

Paid for 16 oz of beef patty, received 12 oz (365 grams) a big discrepancy and when you consider that 16 oz vs 12 oz costs £4 more you would expect to receive exactly that. When I contacted the owner, he advised that all weights advertised are pre-cooking, and so a 16 oz burger is in fact 12 oz, a 8 oz 4 oz and so on. If I were the owner and valued the integrity of my business, I would add extra meat to account for the shrinkage, or add a disclaimer on delivery sites to inform customers of the same otherwise you are misrepresenting an item.
