After a nice walk we sat in the car and ordered take away, jacket potato and a chicken sandwich, small portions and expensive!

Lovely location on the canal, beside the locks, with indoor and outdoor seating. Great coffee, friendly service and lovely home baking.

we made a tour around inverness and came across this caffe. very busy, we managed to get an inside. very nice and friendly stall, fabulous home cooking, well prepared and presented, highly recommended

We stopped during a walk for coffee and scones. Scones were so big I had to cut mine into pieces. Needed another coffee to help me finish it. So delicious I wasn't leaving any! Great value at £10.80 for 2 coffees and 2 huge scones....We paid almost £17 at Loch Melfort hotel last week for scones quarter of the size. Lovely staff too.

beautiful eating, coffee, location and service. dogs are welcome and even have a small menu. some people see 5 star reviews and expect claridges. this is a small lively caffe catering for local and tourist and it is fantastic. they will have luck getting a table. at peak times, so be ready for a moment or take-out. a 5 stars caffe all day!

Homely highland environment situated on the beautiful Caledonian canal, a great location providing honest, tasty and inexpensive local cafe style food. Particular thumbs up for the very efficient staff, well done ! We tried hard but couldn't eat all of the famous Scottish breakfast which...was authentic and large. Definitely worth a visit imho

We haven’t been to Canal Side Jammy Piece for sometime but did stop there on Sunday after a walk along Canal Bank and were a bit disappointed we ordered cheese scones with our hot drinks the scones were not like before they were stale like...they were yesterday’s and butter came in liquid like it was left out of fridge all night shame as we used to be so fond of the Tea Room .

two couple visited for brunch and all had different meal times consisting of avocado and speck on toast, filled breakfast roll, small breakfast and touch on toast. all meals were great and well cooked. the service was excellent: efficient and friendly. pleasant location. at the edge of the city on the canal. they sit inside and outside with the busiest outside due to the best early until now. will soon come back.

I recently visited and felt the service was poor given the fact it is currently takeaway only (due to lockdown) the prices do not reflect being served through a window. The lady who served us was abrupt and was away before we had time to...ask a question about our order as she called ours out and dumped it. The bread on my sandwich wasn't fresh which I'd expect given the overpriced food! I don't mind paying premium for high quality service and good food which on this occasion I did not receive.
