Jimmy's Fish - Carta

Placed order at 7.42pm for delivery to get confirmation delivery was 25 minutes at 20.35 still waiting I phoned to be told 3 other people were in front of my delivery so by time it gets here looking at 2.5 hours for a delivery I appreciate things are difficult but this is ridiculous

We go to Jimmys all the time. The chips are great. But the fish is amazing. Personally I think their fish is the best round here. Their kebabs are great too. They do special overs Monday to Thursday and they deliver too. Whatever we've had it's been nice and fresh. Friendly staff too.

Not pleased with the food served today to me I ordered fish and chips. No freshness to it at all it looked and tasted like it had been sat heating for hours. Went straight in the bin. Both the fish and the chips were very dry to the mouth and really did not enjoy. Waste of money indeed. Disappointed Ver carta

I was very disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I ordered a large fish with raw batter before arriving, but was not satisfied with how it was cooked. I had to throw it in the bin after requesting it to be well done. This is a nice place, and I hate to leave a negative review, but the quality of the fish was not up to par.

Jimmy's is our local Chippy have used them for over 25 years. It's by far the best for miles, in fact never found one better. Staff are all really friendly helpful. Food is always excellent quality, would recommend them to anyone. Prices are good portions generous. Even if there's a queue, don't be put off as service is really quick it's well worth the wait.

No matter if there is only one person waiting or ten, you always have to wait for your food at this restaurant. For instance, on Mondays they offer a large fish and you get chips for free. You would think that both items would be ready to go, especially since it's a special offer. However, that is not the case. Additionally, the selection is always limited. It's experiences like these that make me not want to come back. There are plenty of other options in the area for customers. Ver carta

Visiting friends in Tipton. They are always hooting about Jimmys and because I’m a Jim they dragged me here. So happy they did. After a long drive too Tipton I was starving and Jimmys Fish Bar did it for me. Filled up, happy, and ready to party on. I had an amazing chicken kebab and I mean amazing. Lush. Tasty, juicy and just the right spices. Chips were also beautisful. My friends all had fish and chips. All cooked well and generously portioned. Next time I visit it will defo be Jimmys again.

Now known as island house was a decent Chippy, ordering is easy and delivery time varies on how busy it is. Always a wait in the shop due to deliveries taking priority. Food quality has dropped a lot since delivery started a few years ago which is a shame. Prices are not too bad, food quality is hit and miss really and sometimes very disappointing, southern fried chicken is awful overcooked and not edible, seems like it’s been there all day! The Fish on the other hand was really good, chips are ok bit like most chippy’s now all using the same crappy oil leaving a not so good aftertaste.

The unpleasant owner finally came to serve me after being unable to delay any longer, as his assistant was busy. He approached the counter, raised his eyebrows, and tilted his head, possibly trying to greet me, but it was unclear. He informed me they could not fulfill my order and seemed uninterested in assisting me further. The prices were high for what I received, and I felt it was not worth the cost. This restaurant used to be better in terms of food taste, pricing, and customer service. I will not be returning and will instead visit another establishment nearby.
