"Had the breaded/special fish with chips. Best fish and chips I've had in Scotland. Really outstanding. This was last summer on the way home from a camping trip in the Cairngorms and what a treat it was too! As soon as we walked in, we could tell from the smell of the place that they were using very clean and good quality oil in their fryer. The fish was top notch, very fresh and moist, in generous fillets. Perfectly cooked with the just the right amount of golden brown crispy breadcrumb coating to make it extra special. The chips were also cooked to perfection, very nice and crispy. Not a soggy chip in sight here. Simple but exceptionally good food: the best kind."

Stopped in for dinner, as hotel stopped food early work nights staff were near closing but served fresh food for us and the shop was very clean and felt like home. Lovely place to stop for food. Would recommend here to friends and anyone

We enjoyed a delicious, freshly cooked dinner at this restaurant. There were enough tables and chairs for us to sit comfortably instead of eating in the car, which was a plus. The service could have been a bit faster, but that meant our food was not sitting under a heat lamp for hours or reheated.

Haddock 'supper ' (Scottish way of saying WITH CHIPS) was great value, chips were nice and crispy and plenty of them, Haddock had the usual Scottish thin type of batter. Staff were polite and friendly. Would Definitely Recommend Joe 's Chippy to anyone passing Kingussie on the A9, a short detour and a full belly for less than £10
