Great system of order and receive, lovely fish and chips, generous servings and we all had our fill, our whole family. Good price and near to the park, we ate in the fresh air. Very happy

The large cod was nowhere near as large as it was a couple of years ago the chips were white and a bit limp and a bit greasy the service was good and very friendly but at 11 pounds odd a bit disappointing

We loved the fish and chips from here. Decided to get 4 large cod and 4 small chips, and it was delicious!! The fish was incredible, really fresh flakey chunky cod and the chips were gorgeous…we’ll be back! Ver carta

Ordered takeaway to have as a picnic at Buckfast Abbey. Bearing in mind there were 11 of us they got the order spot on, nothing missing and the food was so good we had another takeaway the following week for our belated Christmas dinner!!!

Decided to head here based on the cracking reviews and fancied some cod n chips. Good portion size, well priced, good menu too. Being picky large cod was a little over cooked and would like a lemon wedge. Other than that I'd say great chippy. 8

Called in on spec as were in the area meeting family for drinks. Really nice little chippy in the centre of town serving quality chips, chicken nuggets, sausage, peas and gravy in plentiful amounts in a nice friendly place. A recommend from us and would call again ! Ver carta

I have travelled Devon, Cornwall, Cotswolds and all across Southern England and I have yet to find Fish Chips to beat this place. If John (Owner) is cooking you won't find better. Only once did I find some to equal it and that was Rockfish in Exmouth. The staff at The Jolly Roger are brilliant, courteous and friendly. It's a must visit place if you are visiting the area.

This used to be a fantastic chippy, but the last 4 times we've gone in they are unfortunately seriously slipping. Prices have doubled since first moving here, cheesy chips are now £4.35 and hardly any cheese! Everytime we've had fish and chips in the last year all been extremely greasy and my children have all become ill straight after (especially the fish! Such a shame this used to be our favourite place to go. Needs online menu updating as it's very misleading!

Well worth it! We were very pleased. The ordering system is fantastic, order in one side and sit in or stand in the other side if it’s raining or wait outside and they’ll give you a shout. Very pleasant girl took our order. Very friendly and welcoming which is a big, first impression for us. The portion sizes were huge. We ordered standard fish and small chips but we were all stuffed! The fish was nice and white, the batter was nice and crispy and the chips were delicious. The service was quick and they were happy to take individual salt and vinegar orders for each meal. Without asking our odd sausage and chip meal was very helpfully labelled. 10/10 Ver carta
