"I must begin by saying I am a Google guru, I travel the country with work as a merchant and the first thing I do when I arrive is check google for a good breakfast! I usually look for somewhere where I could pick up such side personnel, they know that in the dirty workwear, the one ffing over the birds that they are blew with the weekend. but when I saw myself and was half respectable on the farm scale, I decided to give a try in one jones. very happy. not to lie to anyone who was entering and picking up a menu, I was keen to notice that there was no sausage on the traditional breakfast that immediately had me perplex! but I was there now and had no bottle to turn off, so I ordered it anyway with the friendly looking and talking lady on the switch. I had a little walk through the new found spaces to find a seat, and when I attire my website, I must admit, initially felt marginal out of place, but no less I chose a thron, and expected my firm while looking at the work group whatsapp to inform the members of my current location. not a long time ago my hearty caffe latte arrived with a most pleasant smile, shortly followed by the long awaited 'friday breakfast without a sausage '! a man, clearly with many words, can not find any cake to describe the pure perfection of my satisfaction. in 14 years of Friday breakfast you never did that by jones. my only concern that would never take off a star of evaluation is what to the devil I do when 10 dirty mud fucked website agents land before place 10/10"

Very nice spot for a hot drink and a snack, plus when it says hot chocolate that is exactly what it means, not the lukewarm rubbish served at the chain drinks outlets!! Thoroughly recommend. Ver carta

The first of my independent coffee shop discoveries so far, in Whitchurch (I'm on a quite slow! mission). Coffee was lovely (when I realised it was Lavazza, well, that's my favourite, anyway) and the panini I had, quite delicious. Really nice, chilled atmosphere, friendly staff and... I'll go back. Lots. if they pass this coffee shop, it looks small from the outside. in the inner is a bit of a tardis, there are three separate areas. I had a latte and a piece of carrot cake. the coffee was very strong and. the carrot cake was very moist and delicious. the staff is very friendly and the service is very personal. at the moment I have to visit whitchurch once a week, so this will be a regular box stop.

Was dying for a decaf iced coffee and really liked the look of Jones' from outside when I had a nosey peer in. Very friendly welcome, quick service and the coffee was excellent! I really like the decor of the place as well, with the bright yellow walls, the fire place, the seats in the back the art and crafts on sale. Music was not to my taste but added to the character of the place. Ignore the chains and go to Jones' for your coffee fix! Defo recommended!!

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."

"Open since 1970 and located on Mardol, one of Shrewsbury’s oldest streets @thecurryhouseshrewsbury serves locally sourced ingredients married with traditional spices and chillies from the Indian subcontinent, a match made in heaven. 5 5 Recommended Price No better way to kick off proceedings but with popadoms, chutneys and fresh onion salad. On to appetisers and there are so many tempting dishes to choose with many of these exclusive to the curry house. Our first time trying Pani Puri. A sweet and spicy hot street food snack filled with chickpeas and tamarind sat on a bed of crunchy, nutty Bombay mix. With a building but pleasant heat, definitely something everyone should try. The quality and freshness of the seafood was exceptional. Spicy king prawns were huge and cooked to perfection. Charred on the outside for flavour but juicy and meaty. Trio of King scallops were beautifully tender and of a good size with sweetness from the tamarind liquor. Lamb rogan Josh tender lamb shoulder in a medium hot ginger tomato and onion sauce. A strong take on a traditional favourite of ours. Fresh from the Tandoor a generous mix of marinaded chicken, lamb, king prawns and a chargrilled lamb chop. The Tandoori deluxe massalla sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness melting into a subtle heat which brought the dish together perfectly. The curry house takes traditional dishes and flavours from the Indian subcontinent and elevates them to a level beyond expectations. Thank you for our invite to share the exciting menu created with passion and creativity. "Fantastic range of small dishes and meals for lunch and dinner. The menu ranges from scandi to oriental, so something for everyone. The menu is clearly marked with allergens, including what meals can be adapted. The chicken is halal and vegan and vegetarian options are plentiful. The cocktail and mocktail menu is great and they do one of the best espresso martinis in Shrewsbury. The decor is modern and comfortable and there is plenty of space. As a wheelchair user, I can get into the ground floor and to a table. The outside seats are up a small step, but the whole front of the building is a retractable wall of windows, so I can still get the feeling of eating outside in good weather. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about allergies, the menu and the wine list. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive. The only difficulty for me (hence the 4 star review) is that the accessible bathroom is next door, in their sister bar, Libertine. Unfortunately, libertine isn't open the same hours as HotRS, so I can only use it at certain times. The ladies does have a lock on the door, so staff have cleared the ladies toilets, which allowed me to take my chair in and lock the door. I had to walk a couple of steps to get into a stall but my chair was safely with me. Of course, there is also no alarm cord, but they stood outside the door so would have heard if I shouted for help."
