"Where do I start, we walked and were seated right by the front door which was kept open (it was a windy day). My colleagues and I were already in a bad mood as we had not settled business prior to our visit. Nevertheless we did not let it bother us. We went to order at the counter and they made us order separately instead of paying on one card. My colleague (a wealthy man, who has a knack for comically large desserts) decided to order the ‘birthday extravaganza’ for himself, I (a man of fine dining) and our other colleague Jamie (a man with dread locks). We waited for a reasonable time however we are busy businessmen and reasonable time is not up to par with us. We were not met with our order however we were greeted with 3 chocolate chip smoothies in a jar. As we were businessmen, we grasped our briefcases and decided that this was not good enough and we’re going to take action. We did enjoy the smoothies however we were not aware of the danger that clouded upon us when getting stuck into our drinks. I (a man who isn’t too keen on getting chocolate chips stuck in his throat) took a fair sip on my drink only to find a little chocolate chip had found his way up my straw like Bruce Willis in Die Hard and lodged itself in my throat. I find myself as a calm and collected being and not one to cause a scene, I did like what every other person would do, and started slamming the table out of fear of death. However, none of the workers who were on shift came over to see if I was alright. Luckily my colleague (Brett, a man who has recently purchased a Les Paul guitar) took action and performed the Heimlich manoeuvre on me. And freed the chip from my throat like Lincoln did the slaves. I could not thank my colleague enough as I would’ve died that day in Kaspa’s and that is not the way I want to die (I want to die a heroic death, Iron Man did in Avengers: Endgame). Safe to say, I will not be going to any Kaspa’s restaurant anytime soon. And I hope that this Kaspa fella realises the danger he is causing as I know loads of children who dine in these establishments and pray that nothing of such calibre gets stuck down their throats as their throats are much smaller in girth than mine is. Hopefully, this problem does not happen to anyone else as I do not wish it on my greatest enemy and Kaspa’s find a solution to choking on chocolate chip cookies through a straw."

Good food and tasty food. Some food was a bit late and they didn’t say sorry for your wait. However, food was top notch and I would return. 100% definitely recommend. Delicious food!!!

The food is too sickly and service wasn’t very fast. Sad to say it’s not really my thing. I like a savoury than a sweet. It was ok not really what I like. The sauce on the waffles is a bit sickly. I couldn’t finish it.

Went to get crepes with my friend as it’s pancake day and I have severe anaphylactic reactions too peanuts. On the menus there was no indication to what allergies were in the food items, so when I went to order and mentioned my allergy they told me that all their products have traces of peanuts so I couldn’t eat there. Thoroughly disappointed that there was no indication and no chances to mention my allergies before I was seated. A benefit was that the member of staff was very apologetic

So my little boy has wanted to visit for a long time now. We went at 11.45 Am on Friday to find only one other family in the entire place. Female staff member approached us and said they were two busy l, we started to laugh as we thought it was a joke. She then walked away and make staff member come back and seated us, only then to tell us we would have to sit in the empty cafe for 15 mins before we were allowed to order all very weird, rude staff and a very disappointed little boy. Probably a lucky escape as the place looked dirty anyway.

A good old fashioned mate’s date with Kaspa’s coming up as a recommendation and a sneaky suggestion to sweeten me up! Was greeted on entry to Kaspa’s by a nice chap who put us on table 10 and giving us a couple of menus, I must admit, I was a bit overwhelmed by all the choice of sweet things on offer! With there being so much choice I eventually opted for both a giant Speculoos waffle and the hot Banoffee cookie dough, my date had a triple scoop of mint choc chip ice-cream, this was absolutely huge. Loved the hot chocolates, they were incredibly sweet though! I liked Kaspa’s interior with it’s displays of ice-creams and cakes, it’s all quite impressive inside. Ok, so it all set me back just...

Visited Kaspas midweek during the summer holidays as a birthday treat, it was very quiet may i add. I have to say I was very disappointed...to start off with the waitress which seated us made us feel like an inconvenience and wasn 't welcoming at all. Upon being seated, I noticed the table was a little dirty and it is questionable whether they clean them after each use which as being a waitress myself and having completed my food hygiene course, this is something I pick up on in any restraunt. The cleanliness was just not up to scratch at all and I definitely had my doubts about the cutlery and whether they replace any unused ones after the previous customer has left. I then made the mistake...

Disappointed Awful customer Service “ After years of living in Newcastle and I am always proud to show friends around our city and restaurants. I was quite upset after visiting Kaspas with a good friend of mine who had not long arrived in Newcastle. As we are living in a virtual world my friend wanted to share the look of the place with friends on social media. A staff member immediately approached us shouting for us to stop using our phones. Later we found out that this lady was actually the manager. We apologized for making a live video and went to look for somewhere to sit not realizing that she was following us. Just before we sat down we were asked to move to another seat we wouldn’t ha...

Had been recommended here as somewhere to take my kids for a half term treat, that could cater for my 7ry old coeliac son. When we arrived we were taken to the table and given menus. I asked if there was a gluten free menu, or if everything was listed in the main menu. The lady went away, and came back to tell me that the sticky toffee pudding and carrot cake were gluten free, as well as all of the ice cream. We went up to the counter to order, and as we looked at the ice cream cabinet, I noticed a sign which detailed about 10 flavours that were listed as may contain gluten . Unfortunately one of them was the mint choc chip which my son had been going to get. Being coeliac he can 't have any...
