Kearsney Abbey Tea Room

I took my 90 year old mother on a trip down memory lane as we lived just outside the abbey many years ago.

Terrible! Waited over 40 minutes and people after us had breakfast served! No apology, got money back. Rude

Food is average, service is average, price is reasonable. Set in a lovely park. Can't grumble really as it's what you would expect. Ver carta

popped in for lunch, had a baguette which was lovely, my nan was a bit dissappointed that they didn't do fish chips lol but explained it was a tearoom. reasonable prices pleasant staff :

Lovely little tea room. We used to come here as kids so is lovely to still see this open. We decided to have the soup (most def homemade! and was really delicious, and also the jacket pot and chilli. Again homemade chilli and super tasty. Will def return :

After a stroll around the grounds of Kearsney Abbey a seat in the sunshine at this establishment was very welcomed. People feeding ducks,children playing happily and nice drinks in the sunshine whilst enjoying lovely suroundings-what else does' one need Most pleasant

Popped in here for a cuppa after several hours outside with the children. It's very oppressive the building is an old billiard room I believe left over from the original building. Is complete wood panelling and glass ceiling which are amazing but the overall ambience inside was quite depressing as was the tea. I like strong tea but had no chance here, it was so weak it was undrinkable and I'd query if there was actually tea in the bags. Even my friends mum who likes weak tea couldn't drink it. Kids had ice cream which they said was nice. Didn't have the food so cannot comment on that but avoid the tea. Ver carta
