"Ordered a takeaway last night first of all the person on the phone was not trained well at all, she was extremely slow and worked out the price wrong. They said to collect in 30 minutes so my partner went to collect our takeaway, he got there and was told to 'make himself comfortable ' as they hadn 't even started cooking our order yet. He had to wait there over 20 minutes. I had buttered chicken, it was watery and tasteless. The rice was over cooked and clumped together. The masala chips were wet, soggy and inedible. We ordered 4 poppadom 's, but only got 2. We asked for extra mint sauce and of course we didn 't get that either. It cost £36 and the majority of it went in the bin. We will definitely not be returning, as this was the worst experience of a curry house in Aldridge. Extremely disappointed."

Absolutely appalling customer service. Food is nothing special. Was much better when operating as Shireens with all different staff. Will never buy from here again!

Looking at the other reviews, must have caught them on a bad night. Spent nearly £37 on a takeaway for two. Should have had one of those supermarket bag deals, cos we chucked most of ours in the bin Ver carta

Food was great, great taste and flavourful. the decor could do with an update. Parking is available using the free supermarket carpark Close by.The layout of the tables are too close to others, i find there is no privacy.Staff are helpful Nd

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with their delicious chicken achari and prawn passanda at affordable prices. We were pleasantly surprised when they included complimentary rice with our takeaway order. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.

The staff went above and beyond for my family and myself yesterday. Everyone commented about how polite and attentive the staff were. The food was amazing, they catered for my mother's allergies perfectly and there were clear plates all round. This is by far the best restaurant in Aldridge. Ver carta

Just a bit rubbish to be honest. Curry tastes like Italian chicken all tomatoes, no spice and actually all tomatoes apart from a bit of chicken, veg pakoras bland, beef noodles had pork in not beef, wasabi prawns undercooked and powdery, masala chips undercooked and soggy. Such a shame as you can tell there’s flavour there just not executed well this time. Hopefully if we went to the restaurant it would be different but got an uber eats. Maybe don’t put crispy prawns and chips in plastic Tupperware It doesn’t travel well. Shame was really excited to try this place but we’ll a miss in future.

The restaurant isn't perfect, especially in the current lockdown situation. However, the food was delicious, well-prepared, and packed securely for takeout. They offer a discount for public sector employees, and the restaurant was clean, quiet, and followed COVID safety protocols. The only minor issue was that the poppadoms were a bit small and roughed up during transportation. The Rogan Josh and Vindaloo were standout dishes, with a tasty Biryani and delicious side dishes. The naans were hot and perfectly cooked. Overall, the food was well-executed and worth the higher price for a special treat.

"This was our first visit. I have to remind myself that this is a training environment for students but there should be someone in charge, who is identifiable to direct the students on how to present a menu and how to place a dish in front of customers. However, four courses for £35, amuse bouche counted for one course. Amouse bouche lacked any seasoning, orzo starter, well cooked but again lacked seasoning. My wife had fish, Coley, which was nice. I had chicken breast on a bed of curry sauce with hassleback potatoes. My whole dish was luke warm at best, the curry sauce was overpowering, and the hassleback potatoes were not crispy. The chicken was lovely and moist and I ordered a side of triple cooked chips which were super hot, expensive at £4, I only wish the rest of my dish was that hot. I had cheese and biscuits which consisted of Brie, blue cheese and cheddar together with chutney. My wife had Pain Perdue which was well presented and tasty. The restaurant is more like a cafe, not cosy, so don't choose it if you want a romantic evening. Overall would I go again? probably not. If you are ever near the Lake district try to book a table in the restaurant at Kendal College. On a final note; there is parking on an evening next to the college. Drive up to the barrier and press the call button, security will let you in. The barrier opens automatically on exit."
