one of my fave pubs, along with barley mow, there for my birthday meal, nice eating and even better fizz Friday! friendly staff and service was great!

We went with Kids after visiting wedding venue. Lovely place e with great outdoor space. Absolutely delicious food. Service was 1st class. Very good value for money will highly recommend to anyone.

Nice place, atmosphere was good although was a little quiet when we visited I imagine it is great when busy. Service was polite and prompt food was great prices were reasonable. Portion sizes were large and very tasty.

went for a dinner and was not disappointed as we did not book, had to wait about 15-20 minutes for a table. had a drink outside while we waited, the service and the meal was worth the 5 star rating. that was delicious. a visit worth not to be disappointed.

Very nice pub right on the river. Plenty of seating inside and out. Good selection of food and drink and the staff were very friendly even though it was really busy. Would definitely recommend on a bright summers day, then take a stroll along the river. Lovely afternoon.

when we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff and sitting immediately. we have a lot of time to look through the menu and meet our selection from a huge selection on the menu. the staff was really friendly and sociable and eating (we both chose meer bass florentine) was delicious. that was our second visit and we were not disappointed. will definitely be back.

Fantastic Food and atmosphere. Sit outside next to the river and watch the boats travel through the lock. I had the steak and ale pie (like Shepard pie) and it was fantastic. I ordered a side salad as well with house dressing. The salad was made of fresh spring mix, tomatoes, cucumber and onion. House dressing was very good. Plenty of beer on tap. Certainly a hidden gem.

Came for lunch on a Sunday. The food was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar seemed a bit overwhelmed because there was quite a long queue. Only issue with the food was that there was a hair in the chutney that came with the pate for one of us and then the same person had a hair in their roast. We did tell a member of staff about this and he said he would tell a manager to come over but they never did actually come over so we just left. So yea food pretty good but just unfortunate about the hairs.

Sometimes it's not about the age of your drink but the age of the place where you drink. This 400 year old pub is steeped in the history of Oxford university all the way. Try the mulled Cider here if they are offering it around the time of your visit. I believe it's a seasonal offering though. The ales are pretty good too. Great drinks and an interiors which smells fragrantly of the richness of the legacy that it is a part of, Kings arms is a must visit if you are traveling to Oxford. Ask any local student studying at the university, they'll swear by the pub too.
