Kingsley - Carta

Terrible service from beginning to end—we ended up leaving before the food even arrived. There was no communication about how long the wait would be or what was causing the delay. We sat there for almost two hours and were only offered a bowl of plain crisps while we waited.

Went on a Wednesday with the 25% off offer. Evening was to catch up with a friend and it was a good venue for this. It was quiet only a few diners and the service was extremely slow but that did not really bother us. The waiter was polite and when we did get his attention, he served well. It was OK but won't go charging back.

We booked this place at the last minute. The restaurant is inside the Thistle hotel and the decor is nice, fresh and quite modern looking. Our wait staff were cry friendly and quick to offer suggestions when I couldn't make up my mind which was really nice of them. The food was delicious and the servings are very generous! Although the staff were lovely, it took forever for our cocktails to come. Burgers are not allows to be medium rare and when I asked for my steak to be medium-welldone what I got went way past well done and the meat was super dry. The staff were accommodating with dessert which we appreciated, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the delays and not delivering on the food.

our experiance here was terrible, food very poor, service even poorer, despite us being the only two people in the restaurant over a 2 and half hours, we did wander why it was empty, and we soon found out. Would not reccomend anyone to go there, completely ruined our time in london, and we are takeing our complaint further. So my advice don,t bother, there is some lovely restaurants nearby, that want your custom.

Kingsley Two, Holborn, London. Visited this hotel restaurant to sample their 3 courses and glass of prosecco for £22 p/p. We were the only two people in the restaurant for the entirity of our meal but did not feel self conscious. Our waitress was lovely, very attentive. We met the manager, the chef and the sous chef! We were able to congratulate them on the great food that we enjoyed. We had 3 choices for each course and so long as you're not too fussy, you'll identify a suitable dish! Ver carta

I had a wonderful experience at this beautifully restored bank building. The hostess was incredibly accommodating, especially considering we accidentally booked a restaurant with the same name in London. Despite this mix-up, they were able to fit us in. The staff was not only highly professional but also very warm and welcoming. The food was outstanding; each of our meals and appetizers was expertly prepared and visually stunning. I have no complaints whatsoever. I’m already looking forward to returning!

My main issue with The Kingley is the service. Our waiter was extremely slow and seemed to lack basic waiting skills. Although he was aware that our group was gathering in the bar, he didn’t set up the table beforehand, leaving us to wait while he rearranged tables and prepared it. He also didn’t provide us with a menu or wine list; we had to ask for them ourselves. One of our starters was incorrect, and throughout the meal, we found ourselves needing to call him over repeatedly to order more drinks, which was disappointing given that there were only two other tables occupied.

The food was outstanding! We started with the pâté, which was delightful, and the pork belly was gorgeous—cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The service was top-notch; we were made to feel very welcome, and both the waiter and the maître d' checked on us after every course. Surprisingly, the restaurant was quite empty, which is understandable for a Tuesday, but considering its central London location, it was a bit unusual. While this made the atmosphere feel somewhat lackluster, we actually enjoyed the peacefulness. I would definitely recommend this place! Before dinner, we also had drinks at the bar, where the cocktails were fantastic. Ver carta
