The food was cold so the meat was prepared quickly and served warm. Very much.

Linzer and Tee. Was a bit too cold in the room, but warmer and more dry than outside :D Secret tip: go left in there, there is a wood stove that was on ;

Excellent food, large portions, also very tasty cakes in large selection. Everything self-made and of good quality. Service very friendly, beautiful rustic ambience. Sanitary area also very clean.

Great! We were in this very good economy twice a day. In the morning we had only taken coffee, and in the late afternoon, after a long hike, 2 main dishes: fish with salt potatoes and vegetables, burgers with potato corners and salad, plus 2 teas. All the dishes were really of the finest quality. The burger was very tasty, the potato corners properly prepared and the salad fresh and crisp. The fish was also excellent. Earned 5 stars!

Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht. Die Qualität des Essens (Regional, Bio, nachhaltig) hat uns überzeugt. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist völlig angemessen. Für all diejenigen denen es für ein Ausflugs-Lokal in einem touristischen Hot-Spot zu teuer erscheint besteht noch die Möglichkeit im angrenzenden Kiosk einzukehren. Für uns war das Essen und die kleine aber sehr abwechselungsreiche Speisekarte sehr authentisch zum Schwarzwald-Flair

The location is truly unique, beautifully located between the old walls of the monastery ruins and the spectacular waterfalls. The beer garden is welcoming, you sit there very nicely. For our large group (17 people) a large table was directed especially in the guest room so that we could eat dinner separated from other guests. The guest room itself is relatively dark, which is due to the nature and age of the building is not unusual in the Black Forest. The selection of dishes is pleasantly clear, very appealing and a clear indication that they are prepared by the restaurant itself and carefully, which together with the location justifies the slightly higher but quite reasonable prices.
