"Today, we visited this restaurant expecting the same great experience we had at Kokoro in Croydon two weeks ago. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. We ordered Salmon Teriyaki, Kyoza, a Sushi set (which unexpectedly included deep fried chicken), and prawns tempura. Everything was incredibly salty and we found it impossible to finish our meals. The Teriyaki sauce was overpowering, the deep fried chicken was too hard, and overall we were shocked by the poor quality. Despite the crowded restaurant, we will not be returning. We ended up throwing away most of our food as it was inedible, a complete waste of money."

Who doesn’t love this place?? The Katsu Curry always has plenty of chicken and sauce, we love the dumplings too! Great price as well!

There wasn't a great selection of sushi available when I visited. I feel that the prices are incredibly high for what you get, the hot meals are better value for money. Don't think I would choose the sushi again in the future. Ver carta

We visit Horsham twice a year and we always look forward to having out lunch here but it usually ends up with lunch and then and even bigger takeaway. ... the food and the service is excellent and the price structure is brilliant. ..

Great friendly staff. Always smiley and helpful. Quality and value for money is fantastic! My only complaint would be, there is not enough seating. And very chilly if you are near the door, as it’s always being opened. In fact I have been in other Kokoro and they are similar. Very limited seating.

i bought some sushi for my lunch from here. It was clearly marked as vegetarian gyoza. However when I got back to work and started eating it i realised it had meat in it. Disgusting. I shouldn't have taken the chance as I know the one in Brighton is really bad. Will never waste my money on this pathetic chain again. Ver carta

This is more street food than fine dining. You can take-out or eat-in a limited range of food that seems authentic and good (at least to me! . There is sushi, gyoza dumplings and similar bite-size stuff to eat cold as well as more substantial hot dishes served with noodles or rice. Great place for a quick, unfussy but enjoyable lunch.

I absolutely love Kokoro. While I have not yet tried their hot food, I can vouch for their fantastic sushi. It is great value for money, more flavorful than other competitors, and comes with extras like fresh ginger, wasabi, and high-quality soy sauce. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is always clean and well-presented. My only minor complaint would be that sometimes they do not open the doors to customers until around 11am, despite stating an opening time of 10am. However, this may have changed recently.

"My mother and I had been following the Masterchef Pro comp ' last year and were really keen to sample some of the winner, Tom Hamblet 's, food. We travelled a 4 hour round trip for the experience. We don 't eat at fine dining restaurants often but we are foodies. Firstly, the setting of the restaurant is very lavish and comfortable with warm low lighting. That said, the dinner experience was a little too dark for my mother so that 's something to think about if you struggle with eyesight and low lighting. The service was friendly, attentive and speedy/efficient. The food: I 'll start with the dessert because that was a real pleasure for us. We both loved the flavours of Tom 's end of series winning dessert so the meal ended on a high (we ordered the Olive Oil sponge with lemon curd). I recommend not ruining your palette with the overly sweet petit four that are placed in front of you following dessert unfortunately ours were more sugar flavoured than any other identifiable flavour. Our starters and mains were very VERY underwhelming. They arrived looking beautiful, neat and tidy but failed to deliver on taste. I had wanted the celeriac themed starter but the waiting staff told me the vegan/veggie starters and mains were created by their head chef and not Tom. That was disappointing as his 3 month residency was the reason we 'd visited the restaurant. We ended up both having the lobster starters after the waiting staff recommended it highly as either a starter or an additional dish to share. The claw meat was minimal and tough and the foam mousse took centre stage on the plate. Whilst the plate had lots of textures to it, we felt it was unbalanced and generally with no 'wow ' to it. We enjoyed the coffee and rye bread with butter and pollen/fennel that came prior to this thought. I ordered the Guinea Fowl as a main after the waiter described it as a gamey, dark and tender meat. I feel like a better description to someone that hasn 't had guinea fowl before would be 'it 's like a chicken breast with a different flavour '. This is what arrived in front of me and I actually found it was quite dry and not dark at all! I would never have ordered anything that resembled chicken breast anyway so I felt ill informed about my choice. I also thought the girolles were overwhelmingly tart. I didn 't enjoy my main. Mum 's Hogget was nice but average for her too. Last comment I 've never in my life paid £6.50 for less than 1.5ltrs mineral water beware! I don 't care how much money you have it 's water!!!"
