Consistently best prepared and cooked Chinese takeaway food in area. Going to go at Xmas too. Everything top drawer.

Really good food from here. Large portions, good price and v tasty. The sweet and sour sauce is NOT fluorescent pink/orange like some others!

Gave this place a try as was passing by and was hungry. It doesn't look the cleanest and the place was frozen. Food was OK nothing more nothing less. Ver carta

Brilliant local Chinese takeaway. Staff always very friendly and food is great. You can sit in as well which is a nice bonus. Very reasonably priced for food and drinks. Always first choice when we are looking for Chinese food.

This is a solid place to get a Chinese takeaway from. Our meals of choice which are always tasty: lemon chicken sweet and sour shredded beef spare ribs egg fried rice Is very consistent and well priced. Would mark it 5 star but they don’t accept card and you don’t get free crackers if you pick two mains and rice.

Like going back in time, run down and in need of attention just 5 tables were occupied and 3 had issues. Nothing to keep the basic food warm, spare ribs came without a warm water finger bowl, asked and got a tiny bowl of stone cold water, had to chase drinks which had been forgotten (like the next table). Very pleasant staff but really have to watch what's going on in the restaurant NOT a complicated thing to fix and should be sooo much better. An experience we will not revisit at this Ver carta

Ordered chips curry sauce and rice and got home rice was stone cold and found a black hair in chips. when calling Chinese to try resolve issue, making things more difficult they asked us to bring back the food which was already plated up back into the original boxes which were in bin, messy and not nice to have to do. When arrived at shop no apology what so ever or care that food was cold said they wouldn’t give us full money back and guy serving was arrogant and unapologetic. Won’t be back.

Poor customer service that left a bad taste in my mouth and that’s without talking about the food. Ordered two portions of chips and curry sauce and one portion of rice to collect, upon getting home (1 minute drive) I was astonished to find my rice stone cold and to make matters worse finding a black hair in beside my partners chips and curry sauce. When trying to resolve this issue the man on the phone asked me to re-package all the food and take it back. Man in shop was very rude and only offered part of a refund and never once apologised. Won’t be back!!

We ordered a takeaway for collection, customer service was fab and the food was ready within 15minutes. Since the orchid was taken over by new owners I haven’t been able to find a chinese in Midlothian that serves the same crispy shredded honey chilli chicken/beef! The dark colour with sesame seeds, sticky sauce with lots of honey and Garlic. I’ve come across Other places out with Midlothian but not ideal when you live here. We thought we’d order It and give it a try, also ordered chicken curry, boiled rice, salt and chilli chips and chow mien. The chow mien is greasy but really tasty.
