"When we first ate here, it had been open about a month and had heard from a few people how good the service was so decided to try it out. Our first visit we were most impressed by the greeting we had and the choice offered menu wise. Lovely setting on a street ideal for people watching, close to the beach and lovely view over Calpe and the mountains. The menu has a good range. Service is really good, very friendly without being over the top. Our first choice of meal was good, huge portions! Had a cesar salad as starter between 2.....just as well as it was massive and very tasty. main dishes; Chicken with mushroom sauce was delicious and entrecote steak again lovely. Both came with a lovely selection of vegetables and baked potatoes. Second visit we had the same welcome and not too long a wait till we had our meal which again was pleasant and reasonable price. Our third visit we decided would be our last which is a pity. The service was still o.k. but seemed to being looked on as regulars who didn 't need the same attention as at first visit! Our choice was 1 dish of BBQ spare ribs and asked for no vegetables, only a light salad.....the ribs arrived with full vegetables so asked again for a light salad and was given a huge plate of tuna salad that was big enough to feed 6 people. 2nd dish was a bit of a problem as I could not decide between avocado and salmon salad or spinach and blue salad salad; my mind was made up for me when I was told there was no avocado available so was given spinach, blue cheese and salmon salad. The BBQ spare ribs were tasteless and tough and the salad which finally arrived after 2 attempts to get it was lacking in seasoning and too huge a serving. My spinach blue chees and salmon salad was ice but far too big a portion which immediately put me off! Although there was no extra charge for the salad to go with the BBQ spare ribs it was still a bit of a farce trying to get it in the first place! The house wine is pleasant and good price, 'on the house ' liquors are not offered with coffee, but if asked for, are served. All in all a nice location with friendly hard working staff, just hope they don 't take returning customers for granted."

Visitamos Calpe en marzo y descubrimos este restaurante por casualidad. ¡Qué hallazgo! Tuvimos una comida excelente en un entorno maravilloso servido por un personal estupendo. Gracias por una velada encantadora. Volveremos la próxima vez que visitemos.

Pasamos en este restaurante mientras caminamos Called Rock. Dos menús del Dias, hemos optado por los 12€ tres cursos con vino, pan, alioli y una emboscada! Los mejillones de limón eran deliciosos como la sopa de pescado. El chute de cerdo era suculento y salmón a la parrilla perfecto. Todo servido por un camarero amable y servicial.

Manuel and his team provide great quality, friendly service and limitless quantities of lovely food. The parillada (mixed grill) is a feast fit for a king as either meat or fish. The pizzas are fantastic and the serrano to die for. VFM written all over it. We spend about 10 weeks a year in Calpe and come here about twice a week now. Looking forward to the next time

He visitado varias veces. Menú del día de muy buen valor con un gran plato de pescado a la parrilla fresco o opción de paellas, además de entrante y botella de vino. Esta noche elegimos pizzas que van desde 7 euros. Muy buenas, con deliciosos ingredientes y una base fina, además de una jarra de sangría. La mesa de al lado tenía filete de atún. Nunca he visto una porción tan enorme. No puedo recomendar este restaurante lo suficiente. 10/10.

We visited this restaurant twice during a February visit to Calpe. The service was excellent and the pizzas we ordered were great. Price is fair and the quality of the food is as good as you could expect from a restaurant in this price range. Would definitely recommend this for a family lunch stop. Only complaint was when we sat outside in a good weather the people around us were smoking, which is not child friendly. However, I guess that is the norm in Spain.

This brand new restaurant will become a must in Calp. We visited La Alcazaba as we were not convinced by the tourist trap restaurants located in the port area. Definitely we will repeat as the price ratio is excellent, quality of the food was really good. We selected the meet menu parrillada de carne for 15eur per person. We were advised to select 4 menus for 5 people, and definitely he advise was really accurate as we quantity and quality was perfect. We are convinced that in our next visit to Calp this restaurant will be in the top listed.

Visitamos este restaurante mientras estábamos buscando una pizzería y esto parecía agradable. El servicio era rápido y muy educado, hasta que llegaron las pizzas. Habíamos pedido las mismas pizzas pero eran completamente diferentes! Uno era muy fresco, recto desde el horno y probó muy bien. El otro fue un completo desastre. Era obviamente viejo y había sido puesto en el horno una vez más. Ni siquiera parecían iguales. Después de decirle al camarero que miró la pizza y declaró que nada estaba mal con ella. Le mostramos la diferencia pero él ignoraba notarlo. ¡Este comportamiento realmente me dejó! Finalmente ofreció una pizza nueva pero mi hambre se había ido. Si pueden servir pizzas viejas,...

Acabamos de regresar de unas cortas vacaciones en Calpe. Al ser temporada baja, descubrimos que la mayoría de los restaurantes cerraban temprano por la noche. Encontramos que los menús en los restaurantes que estaban abiertos eran poco inspiradores y bastante caros. Sin embargo, una noche descubrimos La Alcazaba, que está ubicada al final del paseo marítimo desde el Casco Antiguo. La Alcazaba ofrece un extenso menú, junto con una variedad de menús del día. Pensamos en darle una oportunidad. El personal fue muy acogedor y amable. El restaurante en sí estaba decorado con una alta calidad y el ambiente era cálido y relajante.
