Recently went through the week on a cold night so it was really quiet, however, that did not make a difference to the food. Love going to this restaurant never get bad food and the portions are always filling. Staff and always attentive no matter what you ask them to do. I came to this restaurant for my birthday meal and it truly could not have been a better experience. The staff was very polite and attentive, and the food was honestly the best Italian I've ever had. I never expected to be writing this, but the food at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I went with two friends for lunch. One of my friends ordered the Haggis as a starter, but it came out cold. They sent it back and it was handled efficiently. I ordered the prawn cocktail, but the prawns were hard and tasteless. My main course, the pollo milanese, was just okay. I have always had a high opinion of this place, so I was really let down by this experience. We visited this restaurant twice during our short getaway in Glasgow. We were seated with no booking or problem on both occasions, with Friday being extremely busy. Service is amazing. We were very well taken care of by multiple friendly staff. Happy to accommodate whatever we asked for. The food is amazing and unforgettable. We had the burger and pastas which were truly amazing. Our three year old picky eater ate a whole plate! Prices are very good too, especially when you look at the portion sizes and the quality of food. The children ordered spaghetti bolognese, which was a decent Ragu. The pasta was cooked well. My wife had the carbonara, which was also prepared well and the sauce was satisfactory. I chose the Veal Milanese, but unfortunately, the veal was bland and tough, likely not fresh but possibly defrosted. The breadcrumbs were oily, and the spaghetti Napoli was just okay. My daughter tried the supposedly homemade Tiramisu, which was not authentic but more of a creamy cake that tasted alright. In all honesty, the chefs seem to struggle with preparing Italian cuisine.
