"I visited La Casereccia because it is recommended in Lonely Planet. On arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and sat in a cosy spot at the back of the restaurant. As it was early in the season, it seemed that the owner was waiting tables, I do not know if that is always the case but it was a very special touch, he is very charming and attentive. He speaks excellent English too which is not that common on the Island. The menu is expansive, there is an abundance of choice of antipasti, seafood, pasta, carne and pizza. We didn't make it through to dolci... Our shared antipasti platter was a delight! All the food was lovely but a special mention needs to go to the pizza fritte, deep fried calzone which comes straight from heaven but will send you directly to hell it is so decadent. I very strongly recommend this restaurant."

I have been visiting this restaurant for the last 6 years and it just gets better and better. Great staff, great atmosphere and the food is amazing. There are plenty of dishes to choose from and regular specials. If you are looking for a family celebration or an intimate meal then this is the place for you. Looking forward to visiting again next year. Thank you Mama Tina and all the staff for another fabulous meal.

Okay, I’m biased. I believe Neapolitan cuisine is the best in Italy. I believe it gets even better in Ischia. And I believe the best of that is found at La Caserrecia. I’m a creature of habit. I like what i like and i like what comes out of this kitchen; which is simply, ridiculously delicious. Every time I bite into the Melanzane or the Pizza or the newly added Carbonara, basically anything on the menu (hint: ask for the Italian menu) I ask myself, why is this place some damn great!? The credit lies with Mama Tina and her kitchen staff. You’d be hard pressed to find a better, more authentic meal on the island. This is a family run restaurant. Unpretentious and welcoming.
