"Our telephone enquiry about the availability of a table had been dealt with positively and with enthusiasm. When we arrived, however, the welcome evaporated, as the booking had, within thirty minutes, somehow disappeared into the ether. The sense of unwelcome persisted, as the same member...of staff served us with apparent reluctance and evident disgruntlement, bordering on discourtesy. The otherwise quite intimate atmosphere was destroyed by the arrival of a group of diners whose volume had all of the subtlety of a coach party in Benidorm. These behaviours should not detract from the quality of the food on the plate, but they do."

"This is a tiny town with a huge reputation. Make sure that you book as potential diners were turned away. It seats only abut people with only one, amazing waitress. Firstly, the waitress took the orders for people, three courses each, without needing...to write anything down. And she got it right! The food was amazing I had marinated asparagus, very tender and deliciously herby, guinea fowl with spelt, again with rich flavours, and a vanilla slice unlike any other I have previously eaten. The whole experience was memorable."

"it offers what they expect from such a restaurant and perhaps a little more. had both cooked eating and sushi on order, very nice. the green teeteer was excellent. lady is very nice and polite. the room is a little cramped, but they can choose takeaway. as a general conclusion, I would say that, after eating everywhere in the village except in the gastronomic restaurant, because with two slightly active children neither we nor the rest of the guests would have enjoyed the evening, it was the best eating in a French village that is good for the owner, but very sad for the locals who could do something better. I must mention that none of us is a fan of Chinese and Japanese eating, it is just one option if there is no other option."
