"We often visit Gruissan but had not eaten at La Crouzade, so based on the TA reviews we thought we would give it a try for lunch ... we were impressed. Right from the minute we arrived we received first class service and attention. The restaurant is small but has nicely decorated tables (real cloths) and a great view overlooking the marina whether you sit inside or out. There is an 18euro menu or a l'carte. We decided on the 18 euro and were impressed by a lovely goats cheese salad, fish brochettes and a lemon cheesecake to finish. They pride themselves on sourcing local products and I can only say that the goats cheese salad was one of the best I've ever tasted ... and believe me I've had a lot of goats cheese since I've lived in France. Fish was also tasty and fresh and the cheesecake homemade. The wine list is not extensive but its good and the prices are excellent. So all in all I would thoroughly recommend a visit. We will go back."

Very good evening; super view of the port and fresh products (I chose the fish of the day), welcoming staff, pleasant setting, quality pizzas and excellent marine mussels. Some improvements to be noted anyway; cook a little just fish and not hot enough food (children's chips). I recommend having a nice family party. Ver carta

Good table! In a warm atmosphere at the rhythm of Cuban music: Buena vista!! Fresh and very well prepared products. Excellent parsillad knives, curry molds with a very good curry! Real fries with real potatoes, gustative pleasure. A good selection of wines. No heaviness on the stomach. We will come back to taste a Mojito cocktail like in Cuba!) and take a dessert because yesterday we were filled. What the Casa viva!

My mum, my boyfriend and I were looking for a nice restaurant in Gruissan for dinner. The restaurant is situated very nicely and we had a table outside with a great view. Two of us ordered the menu for 22€ and I had Loup de Mer. My fish (19€) was really good, only the spinach tarte was not self-made which was a pitty. The menu was a total desaster: salad with finished sauce and the bacon around the chèvre was old/over the edge. The main dish of the menu was gratinated casseroles which was tasteless and not something you would expect to eat at an restaurant - whoever cooked the menu, was no chef at all. The dessert, a chocolate créme, was a liquid something no one would call "créme", all in a...

"We cannot recommend highly enough this excellent little restaurant in Gruissan Port, Rive gauche; The reception from our very friendly host was absolutely first class we were instantly made to feel most welcome. He was also very helpful in describing dishes from the menu...and discussing and recommending local wines to go with our choices. The service was quick considering we were ten in our party and our starters were an excellent tomato bread with Serrano ham, mussels stuffed with aioli (garlic mayonnaise) and then dusted with walnuts and then grilled, beef carpaccio and the shelled broad beans cooked in olive oil with chorizo. The quantity of tomato bread and ham was huge so was readily shared around the group. For mains one of our party chose the pika pika' which was a large slate with every one of the tapas dishes offered. Substantial but not offputting in quantity, it was a really excellent choice. Two of our group went for the sea bass cooked en papilotte' with leeks and a mild curry sauce. Two more went for the wonderful razor clams, cooked on the griddle with garlic and parsley, and the rest of the party chose the amazing Aubrac steak which you cooked at your table on a hot lava rock. This was accompanied by a sumptuous Roquefort sauce. There was still room for dessert so most of us chose the beautifully light home made choux bun which was filled with vanilla ice cream and smothered in hot chocolate sauce. Creme brulee and a home made chocolate and orange meringue tart were also chosen. We were offered complimentary digestifs and coffees to be taken on the terrace. With all of our aperitifs, three bottles of wine, two of sparkling water and all meals, the price including tip came out at euros per person. All in all a wonderful experience which will be revisited at the earliest possible opportunity."
