La Dolce Vita - Carta

This was my 'go to ' when I lived in the area and still my 'go to ' whenever I visit.Although it is once in a while these days I am amazed that staff still remember me and as always the food is spot on.Cannot fault it.

During the final week of the 'Eat Out to Help Out' scheme, we stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised with the friendly and attentive staff, as well as the delicious food. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

Ordered for delivery as we were tired of junk food takeaways so wanted something different and we were so impressed. It arrived on time, with huge portion sizes and lovely authentic food. Also a free bottle of wine! We will definitely be ordering for delivery again and look forward to visiting in the future. Ver carta

Food was almost inedible, Mozzarella starter looked like a slice of toast on a plate of tomato puree, pasta wasnt cooked and was swimming in oil, ordered water which never came, waitress spilled my drink, ordered doughballs which came about half an hour after the main course, we were never offered dessert so eventually gave up to find almost 310 service charge had been added to our bill! Dont waste your time or money going here!!

I was with friend in La dolce vita restaurant in Luton we was waiting l0 minutes on front door next to sign to wait My colegue want to go and ask about a place then waitres on break was start shouting on her why she came in And she didn't stop shouting It came menager or over he didn't day nothing to his employer to stop shout on us just was really mad on us REALLY NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE MOSTE RUDE WEITRESS I EVER SAW IM MY LIFE AND I TRAWEL AROUNDE THE WORLD

This restaurant is one of my favorite spots in the area. The lunch menu prices are very affordable, making it a perfect choice for lunch or dinner. The restaurant has a beautiful conservatory at the back and a dimly lit section, making it ideal for a quiet meal with your partner or for dining with friends. The food is fantastic for the price, and the service is excellent. One minor issue is that they could improve their non-alcoholic drink options and expand their dessert menu slightly. Ver carta

Had a good meal here and the food was freshly cooked on the eat out to help out scheme. However bit disappointed as soon as we turned up we were told we had up to 2 1/2 hours to eat even though we booked. We did manage to eat in that time but felt we were clock watching and the food took longer than average as it’s freshly cooked. As well as this when we received the bill the service charge was already added but in small print at the bottom it does say optional. How many people actually say take it off? Most places it comes up when you pay on the card machine.

I’m struggling here.. the waitresses are nice and polite, but the experience is amateur, in fact I am not sure there is an Italian in the house. Sat near kitchen I heard and saw several nationalities but not sure if the man leading cooking was Italian. That may explain... this is fairly average British style Italian. Starter of cold meat was Lidl/Aldi, pack opened over pre pack sale leaves, add olive oil and ... an Italian starter!!Mains was huge Carbonara with garlic bread average/ good taste.Service charge included , sorry no where near what is required. This restaurant is fantastic! I have dined here multiple times, both before and after the lockdown, during my lunch hour, in the evening with my partner (who particularly enjoys the sea bass), with my Mum, and with one of my best friends. I always order the spaghetti with extra chillis and raw onion, which is absolutely divine and prepared just the way we like it. My Mum, who is a great cook herself, also loves the food here, and we are planning to return with a larger family group once the lockdown is lifted.
