"My family and I from an age range from 20 to 90 years spent one of the best days of our vacation at this restaurant We enjoyed to get in touch with the great spirits Steven and his family provided to us. Going into the fields affiliated to the restaurants and picking up the organic vegetables for the dinner was a great experience. Steven always had a nice story to tell us on the different foods and the way how to combine them. A special request of our group was to have a gluten-free meal. So a person suffering from celiac-disease could participate the event as well. Even u gluten-free Tiramisu was no problem, so the place is gluten-free approved. Guiding us trough the afternoon preparing our fresh foods and enjoying good Italian wine the food was served exclusively to us in the restaurant. We felt very welcome every second of the day and by letting us float in the Italian way of preparing and enjoying food we got a good impression of the dolce vita everyone ist talking of when thinking of Tuscany. One again we want so say thank you for having us! Ps: even if you don’t speak Italian as we do you can enjoy the class because Steven speaks decent English and Antonella talks to you in an Italian way of body language witch doesn’t let you misunderstand her in the most positive way!"

Can fish used to prepare a dish, poor quality of food in general. Very big disappointment. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Wasted evening

Delicious food, super friendly staff, nice location it couldn‘t be better! There‘re also a lot of vegetarian dishes and they serve their own wine.

Great food, nice remote setting. Service was a bit slow as the restaurant became very crowded, but the staff were extremely nice and did their best. The food was very tasty and we ordered a number of dishes, all good.

High quality food: mix of 3 appetizers, risotto, tagliata and chocolate/rum dessert with Vermentino and Vino Nobile di Montepulcano by the glass. Very friendly waitress who suggested to order 1 portion of the appetizers and first course for both of us. Pleasant ambiance: dining outside in the countryside with only calm music as background. We paid 140 € a modest price for the offered quality.

I highly recommend this restaurant because the host was very welcoming and very careful about making clients happy. The food is excellent, made with local, high quality ingredients. I really loved their homemade pasta and the vegetable special dishes. My husband and son ate a perfect steak! They have a variety of very good wines. I also want to mention the lovely position in the countryside and their herbs garden.

La Locanda is a fantastic place to taste the typical flavors of the Tuscan hills. The fried egg with truffle is a specialty to try, as well as the asparagus gnocchi and pork fillet. The wine, produced on-site, is an excellent Chianti DOCG. The farmhouse, nestled against the woods, is surrounded by a beautiful lawn where children can play safely. Recommended for families who want to have a true Tuscan experience, an unparalleled moment of relaxation in the middle of nature!

We had a very pleasant evening meal at this restaurant. It was fairly quiet when we visited (low season) which made for very personal and attentive service. There was a lovely open wood fire going when we turned up, which made it very cosy on what was a cold night. Little did we know that they would later cook our dinner on the fire, which was a real novelty. The food was beautifully cooked and plentiful. We couldn’t eat it all, despite our best efforts. We had three courses with house wine and we thought it was tremendous value. Lovely staff. Will certainly return on our next visit to the area.

4 of us visited this restaurant last night and we were encouraged by the location and peaceful atmosphere. Our waiter spoke good English and explained each dish on the menu. We drank the house red which was very good (as you might expect from a winery. Our unanimous disappointment was the quality of food. The pasta 1st was far too uncooked, even for all our group of 'al dente ' pasta enthusiasts. The main course was extremely limited 2 veggie dishes and 3 meat dishes. The problem was that steak Fiorentina needed to be ordered a day in advance (although we were lucky that the kitchen had a spare! "Ho pranzato in questo locale durante una passeggiata per il paesino di Peccioli. Bello il parco avventura esterno (seppur da internet risulta chiuso e inagibile da tempo ormai . Il locale è molto carino, semplice ma anche con un tocco moderno. Atmosfera tranquilla e di casa, musica un po' troppo alta. Il bagno, invece, è una casettina (stile bagno mobile esterna alla struttura quindi bruttino da vedere, scomodo, piccolo e sporco di terra nei giorni piovosi e fangosi. Abbiamo scelto di assaggiare qualche antipasto, qualche primo, il secondo e un dolce. Antipasto: bruschette tipiche (3 bruschette con vari sapori su cui bisogna far lavorare un po' la fantasia per via delle dimensioni della bruschetta stessa, 3 fettine (ine di pane con il condimento. Oltre a far lavorare la fantasia, però, è necessario far lavorare anche le papille gustative per via di sapori ottimi e di qualità. Primo: abbiamo scelto i pici piccanti, la tagliatelle ai funghi (fuori menu e i tortellini burro e salvia (per i bimbi . Ho apprezzato molto la tagliatella ruvida e corposa così come il sapore dei funghi, sapore deciso e presente ma non invadente. Porzione giusta (nelle foto la porzione è a metà . Anche i pici erano ottimi così come i tortelloni (che personalmente ho apprezzato meno . Numero tortelloni: 4 (ci era stato specificato . Secondo: tagliata da 1Kg da condividere con contorno di patatine. La cottura richiesta è stata media, non oso immaginare se avessi chiesto un cottura al sangue... La carne, tuttavia, era davvero squisita, gustosa, cotta in maniera eccellente. Anche le patatine erano ottime, calde e croccanti. Dolce: abbiamo scelto un tiramisù, un semifreddo e delle cheesecake. Ottimo il tiramisù, bello da vedere e gustoso. Rimandate invece le cheesecake e il semifreddo (vi sfido a trovare le differenze se non per il biscotto sbriciolato sul fondo . Ok essere innovativi ma alcuni capisaldi vanno comunque mantenuti. Senza glutine: abbiamo chiesto la disponibilità di alcuni piatti gluten free, consci del fatto che il locale non è certificato ma con la speranza che almeno la carne si sarebbe potuta mangiare. Invece no, la griglia della carne viene utilizzata anche per tostare il pane però, a sorpresa, era disponibile la pasta senza glutine. Quindi si è optato per pasta senza glutine ai funghi con contorno di insalata. Servizio molto gentile ma assolutamente da rivedere perché poco attento e molto disorganizzato. Bisogna decidere se togliere la posata (e poi rimetterla oppure lasciarla tra le varie portate (e non fare un 50-50 disorganizzato . Conto: esagerato ma soprattutto poco chiaro. 170 euro totale per tutti i piatti elencati (quindi 3 antipasti, 5 primi di cui uno gluten free, 1 secondo con 4 contorni, 4 dolci di cui uno gluten free più bevande e coperto . Il problema è presente nel fatto che non viene consegnato lo scontrino con il dettaglio dei piatti ma viene fatto un calcolo manuale (letteralmente al telefonino e poi viene consegnato lo scontrino totale. La buona fede sta nel fatto che il calcolo è stato eseguito per due volte (visto personalmente ma così non va bene. Un'osteria che di osteria ha poco, molto piu una braceria di stile. 4 stelle per la qualità del cibo, il resto è da rivedere."
