"This is my first negative review ever. And if I was able to give negative stars, I would. I also emailed the restaurant privately (who I had been in contact with before) but I have yet to receive a response after nearly 3 weeks. And I am not surprised. Here is what I wrote to them: This email is a little late but I just needed to write about the horrible experience I had at your restaurant on October 30th. I am a former Newyorkese who currently lives in Rome and I am a huge lover (and writer) about food. So I was REALLY excited to bring my mother who was visiting and one of my best friends (another expat) who has lived in Castelli Romani for 20 years to your establishment after seeing you win on one of my favorite shows '4 Restaurants '. And also knowing it was a woman owned family business. and unfortunately I could not have been more disappointed and upset from start to finish. Besides the fact you lost my reservation had me and my party go in between the two restaurants before realizing (and excuse me for my horrible italian but I was trying my best) the young waiter (Alessandro was his name I think) was one of the rudest servers I have ever encountered. He refused to acknowledge us for almost 15 minutes while dismissing us each time we tried to get his attention, him saying he was too busy and would be over soon, yet he continued serving and taking everyone else 's order...even closing out the same tables! When we tried to get his attention a second time for water at least (because it was hot) he actually scolded us! Three women his elders all old enough to be his mother and grandmother. I have never been more disrespected and mortified in all my life. And lucky for him I was with my mother and I didn 't want to cause a scene. He proceeded to slam down our water after another ridiculously long wait without taking our food order (your kitchen was near closing) and never bringing my friend 's prosecco. He also never said that you didn 't actually HAVE prosecco to serve so she went without knowing none was coming her entire meal. Luckily another server who was much nicer took our food order and I didn 't have to deal with Alessandro until it was time to get the bill. I think I was extremely simpatico (especially given the situation and how he was treating me). I asked him if I could pay for my guests discretely because I didn 't want them to know I was treating them. And literally 2 seconds later this piece of work runs after me and over to our table to give me the bill in front of my guests. It was almost as if he did it on purpose! Maybe our experience would have been more pleasant if we were all native Italians or men but a restaurant should never discrimiate so blatantly in front of their customers. It was quite honestly the worst dining experience I have had in Italy and my entire life. And I am counting places where I have actually been food poisioned. I am shocked that this restaurant even qualified for a show and I am going to write them saying so. But I just wanted to make you aware so hopefully no one ever gets treated that way again. EVER. And also honestly, your food is at best mediocre and waaay too expensive for the quality and taste. Or maybe we were charged more by your waiter..."

If you want to spend a funny dinner with your friends, you cannot miss this place! Delicious specialties of Castelli area surrounded by the typical atmosphere of the Fraschetta . A lot of food for a little price. A special thanks to the waiters, who enriched the experience!

products are standard nn products trust photos that I am good at making them like my colleague alessandro b ... nothing exceptional ... there is better to the fraschette .... prices are very high to be a fraschetta. given the advertisement I expected better . I put 3stelles to not be bad

The food here is excellent, local and worth the trip. We ordered some different antipasti and porchetta which were really good scamorza and panchetta was very good. Then a mixed grill everything on every plate was really well cooked and a bottle of sparkling wine for 4 euros was the cherry on top. Service was slow but friendly. Perfect local lunch to take your time over. Ver carta

Nice experience. will be giuseppe and luca have done on our last day of unforgettable holiday. we arrived in 8 in full hour tip without reservation, and they made us sit immediately. the appetizers of the house would have already been enough to feed us for 2 days, but that you do not take 2 juices and pepper carbonara pappardelle with wild boar? plentiful portions, excellent food, high quality wine, courtesy and sympathy as if it rained. the price also contains well comparison, but we could eat satisfactorily even in 15. and as homemade tiramisu and a coffee with olci donuts to close the trap that we now have in place of the stomach. super recommended.

I went to this fraschetta in August, with three friends. appetizers are of quality, abundant, in my opinion the strong piece of the menu. the pig is sublime, seems to melt in the mouth. I would avoid the fried polenta. As soon as the appetizers are removed, the first ones have arrived. the service was too much celery: given the importance of the appetizers we would have liked a moment more breathing, but we did not discourage. the dishes were good, but a bit heavy for our standards and accomplices the heat that we did not manage to finish them.
