"you wouldn't expect (at least, we didn't expect to find a restaurant that offers high-level dishes outside the award-winning spas as soon as you open up. and instead, it was so! we took two seconds: bone fillet and calf cheek. the first tall and big, cooked to perfection, the second so tender to melt in the mouth, delicious flavor. very generous portions. we got everything with huge pleasure. always appreciated boundary note: friendly and professional staff. in the end, perhaps because we had also had breakfast there with an excellent blueberry tart, we were offered a bitter local production herb that we liked very much. very honest account. "We stayed there twice in 4 years, always half board to go to the spa and to ski. We had a very good time in terms of hospitality and above all the cuisine, my children, despite being small, still remember delicious and varied dishes but in particular the desserts Clean and spacious rooms. The only flaw concerns the noise at night. The first time it was a sleepless night...since the hotel was quite crowded, people came back and threw their boots...they threw chairs...they spoke in a loud voice despite the warnings in the hotel to show respect at night, trying not to make noise and to be educated. The second time still blank because our neighbor was talking (I think) with his wife...he was criticizing a sister-in-law so we are aware of many unpleasant things regarding her, it was like having them in the room with us, there was absolutely no way not to hear....this happened at midnight...when they finally fell asleep he snored loudly until the morning...ale '!! Maybe the walls are too thin or the wood in the rooms works too well as a sound conductor. But apart from this the hotel is very nice, we had a nice welcome and then......the food is fantastic!!!! It can be said that we are happy to return especially for this reason. I would recommend it considering that you may run into noisy neighbors... but maybe not For the kitchen, however, you can always go without fail!!! Prices are good."

"Nell'ambito di un tour della val Formazza, ci siamo fermati all'Albergo Vecchio Scarpone per una notte e pranzato il giorno dopo, siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dalla gentilezza e disponibilità dei proprietari, l'ambiente molto pulito e la cucina tipica del luogo permette di assaporare le delizie delle valli Ossolane. Se vi capita di passare per Baceno, non perdete l'occasione di fermarvi in questo albergo, noi ci troneremo di sicuro."

"Trattoria semplice , che prende il nome dalla montagna sovrastante: il monte Cistella a cui sono legate antiche leggende, secondo le quali la zona era frequentata dal diavolo e dalle streghe... a parte ciò, la Cistella è un punto di ristoro nostrano che offre piatti ossolani e regionali cucinati con cura . Abbiamo scelto affettati e formaggi ossolani accompagnati da cipolline agrodolci , gnocchi ossolani fatti secondo ricetta tradizionale e una dolce crema con amaretti. Buon vino locale. Prezzi corretti. Parking: Parcheggio di fronte alla trattoria, una decina di posti-auto. Luglio-Agosto sosta di 1 ora, il resto dell 'anno sosta libera."

"La cena è stata perfetta ed ogni portata ha meritato. Antipasto con lingua alla salsa verde ed affettati, Scaloppina al vino bianco e cotoletta alla milanese con patatine ed infine torte. Tutto ottimo. Il conto finale assolutamente corretto, il servizio presente ma discreto. Ci ritornerei, anche per provare la pizza. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €30–40"
