Visited La Locanda twice this year when in Italy and once again cannot fault the excellent service and the meal. Enjoy the food so much I would not even try to visit another restaurant in Trani in case it doesn't match up. The waiter who served us on each occasion is very friendly and welcoming.

While traveling around the area, I found this restaurant for lunch. What a great find. I had the linguini with clams and the shrimp as a second dish. Great meal and the service was excellent. This really made the day after walking all over town. I know where I will return to next time I am in the area, Ver carta

A warm welcome started the night off well. A great selection of starters and mains. Don’t bother coming if seafood isn’t your thing! We had the house seafood starter followed by grilled mixed seafood, fantastic shell on Scampi and a huge mixed seafood spaghetti! To our waiter Gaetano thank you for your excellent English!

This is a upscale restaurant, not a casual pizza place. Thus by definition the wait staff should be able to communicate and answer questions. They could not AND they were not friendly at all. Worse yet this was the worst meal that we’ve had in Italy after 2 weeks of travel here! The food was tasteless, both main courses and a appetizer. I cannot recommend this eatery to anyone!

In Trani, we had lunch in La Locanda della via Larga, which is located close to the touristic town center. The food is average. We had lunch in a windowless and dark room !!! Also, several times the circuit breaker did not function well and we were out of light in the room several times. The waiters had to put lights on our tables in order to finish our lunch !!! The staff are overwhelmed and not very smiling. Awful!!! Ver carta

After been all morning walking lunch time approached and La Locanda called out attention due to the nice restaurant appearance and also for the different type of dishes available. When we got inside was just after 12H20 and we were the first customers. About 40' later the place was completly full. Despite the number of people the kitchen and table service was properly handled. Being so near the sea have decided to have fresh fish in a good Frittura Mixta

Ok, so it was Sunday, and they looked busy, but the restaurant manager said we could have a table in 10 minutes. 20 minutes later she found us a table, but another 20 minutes later we still had not been given a menu nor asked if we would like a drink. I left the table to find her and asked if we could have a menu and some drinks and she said someone would attend to us, but no one came, despite other guests who arrived after us being attended to. Another guest, a lovely Italian Lady, who obviously felt sorry for us, let us look at her menu, and it looked interesting. Unfortunately, late September must be a complete break-in for the catering of trani. the best restaurants closed or for vacations or for week-ends so exasperated by the waiters who invite you to enter their premises, we decided to choose inside viettes thinking of finding something nice to eat. Well, we ran into this restaurant casually. friendly staff. after ordering a stock of mussels, a ravioli with shrimps and stracciatella, and a fruit to divide into two.
