"My partner and I went out for dinner last night and it was one of the best meals we've ever had. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy. We shared the meatballs (which were amazing), I ordered the pasta with meatballs (equally amazing), and my partner had the lasagna (he rated it 20/10). The desserts were also fantastic (the brownie and affogato). We highly recommend both! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming; we will definitely be returning before our vacation is over."

A must if you are in Edinburgh! I would recommend booking as they have limited seating but the restaurant is lovely and intimate with a great looking bar gin selection. The staff are really great, professional , attentive and personable. The food was absolutely delicious and authentic!

2 weeks ago we visited La Locanda Edinburgh. I will leave 5 stars. This was the best restaurant we have visited in Edinburgh and one of the best meals we have ever had. The atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were very friendly and kind. I wish good luck and prosperity to this restaurant

Don't be discouraged by the small size of this restaurant. They take pride in making all of their food from scratch, including their delicious gluten-free bread. The food and service were excellent. The Arancini were authentic and tasty, just like in Italy, and the meatballs were exceptional. Ver carta

The dining experience was lovely, with really friendly staff. We enjoyed the lasagne and a pasta dish, both of which were delicious. The sisters who work there are really kind and we had a great chat with them. They make you feel so welcome. Overall, we highly recommend this place as the best restaurant in Edinburgh. It is a must-visit.

Not just the best restaurant we've been to in Edinburgh but quite possibly the best Italian I've ever had. Wonderful setup in a nice small setting phenomenal specials and the staff were fantastic (particularly Jason) very friendly yet professional which added to the experience. Really stunning food and worth the price. 10/10 would recommend.

we went to eat here and were blown away from the food. the service and the location were great. restaurant is small so that booking is recommended. we have the arancini special and craab crostini special for starters that were both amazing. for the main thing we have. Hummer-Ravioli-Special and the lasagnas that were from this world. the menu is small, but the quality and the ingredients are excellent. will be very recommended and will be back Ver carta

an authentic Italian restaurant, a small jewel hidden in edinburgh. my fiancée and I were there yesterday for the jubilee, I think we had the best eating experience for a long time. the quality of eating is exceptional, it is so good that they can cry after happiness! as Italian you can trust me. the service is fast and the prices correspond to the quality. the team is also very nice. the place is a little, but is very cozy and the stay was super beautiful.

Amazing!!! Went for Valentine’s Day dinner… very accommodating to my gluten and dairy intolerances and wen’t above and beyond to make sure I was aware of the many options I could choose from on the menu. We shared one of the specials starters the mussels (with gluten free bread made from scratch! , my boyfriend had the ravioli for his main and I had gluten free beef ragu pasta. Great selection of drinks and a beautiful restaurant/atmosphere. Thank you to all the staff!
