"Booked a table at lunchtime for an evening meal. So far, so good. We have got used to French service usually a bit slow but pretty accurate. What attracted us here was the fact that they offered curry and associated dishes. Initially the service was ok. But the curry, two mains, rice and a sag aloo was delivered in 10 minute stages. Food was ok but nothing like a curry in the UK. To be expectedI suppose. The timing of the meal was terrible. Bits arriving at different times. The waiters/waitresses just did what they wanted it seemed no cohesion or order of service. Eventually we asked for coffee and the bill. 45 minutes later we were informed that there was no coffee! We said OK, wher is l'addition? Nothing for another 15 minutes. In the end I had to go into the restaurant and demand the bill. It was sitting on the counter!! I have run a business albeit not a restauranr, and customer service is always paramount. I suggest the owner of this business puts his staff into some serious training schemes. It's just a complete shambles. By rhe way, several other tables were getting extremely agitated at the complete lack of attention. Never, never go to this place and expect excellent food or excellent service. Probably great as a daytime cafe (when they can't really mess up) but useless as a restaurant. Those people who say they had a great curry obviously aren't curry eaters. Really, really disappointing overall!!"

Good food, good service and great location. Love that you can help yourself to water filled from the public fountain. A salad costs €12 and 0.5l of house wine €8. Good live music and a good atmosphere.

A rainy Sunday night in April, the only place open in town it seemed. We were warmly welcomed and served just what we needed. Simple but very very well done salad and omelette. Good house wine and fabulous chocolate mousse for dessert. A very satisfying meal at a reasonable price. Ver carta

This restaurant has something very special to offer. It has a rather different and imaginative menu, and the food is top quality as is the friendly service. The location just has to be experienced! sitting at an outside table on a warm evening by a fountain full of drinking water under the shade of ancient plane trees, and overlooking the buildings of this medieval village. A real gem.

This restaurant basically offers only outdoor seating under the 2 platan trees planted in 1789 (the year of the French revolution). Lots of shadow and a beautiful marble fountain with cool, drinkable, mineral water directly from the source. The food is a mixture of French and Spanish cuisine. It is very well prepared. Service is both in French and English. Interesting and affordable wine menu with local wines.

Discovered this gem around the corner from our rental property this May. The owner/chef took pity on us missing lunch by travelling on a holiday and opened early. Duck, carrot tagliatelle for our vegetarian daughter, local wine and a beautiful courtyard was a marvellous welcome. We returned that week for equally delicious food and easy hospitality. Creative menu with local organic ingredients run by a man who is passionate about food. Ver carta

My wife and I were travelling around Languedoc looking at interesting out of the way places and traditional restaurants. Tucked away in a picturesque square under ancient plane trees is the entrance to La Mangeoire restaurant. And what a surprise it was to discover one evening. A mixture of modern rustic and bohemian decor on two levels and very different from typical village restaurants. The chef Eric Marc must be an organic specialist as he had explained that all his ingredients were sourced fresh from local suppliers. The food was really tasty...simple and well presented...the special beer was great...the ambience of the place was fantastic (lighting and music and new world french charm)...

This lovely early Autumn evening was enhanced by a couple of beers sat in the square outside the restaurant while our host let us chat. There was no pressure to order, we just browsed the menu at our leisure. When we had chosen he took our orders and prepared a table for us. As neither of us were having a starter, we just wandered in when he let us know our food was ready. We both had the falafel salad and it was delicious. A good sized plateful of a lovely salad and really first class falafels. They’re easy to get wrong or to turn into solid little nuggets but these were just right. Once we’d finished then they were followed by some of the finest frites either of us can remember. Grease fre...
