"Visited for a weekday lunch for our anniversary. The conservatory was half full and wound up around 3/4 full later on, I have seen some reviews that mentioned service but at this level of capacity the service was perfect. Everyone we spoke to was kind, friendly and passionate about the food and wine. We took recommendations from the sommelier for wines and our server for some of our dishes and we were impressed with all of them. Everything we ate was delicious and we sampled A LOT of the menu (3 small dishes, 2 starters, a main and 2 sides) and were impressed with everything. Even ingredients I would usually avoid as I don’t love them were impressive. I didn’t think I fancied any of the desserts but given how impressed we were with the other dishes we took a punt on the tapioca pudding and piggy fours, despite not being fans of two of the ingredients, again, all were delicious. It isn’t a cheap lunch out but perfect for a special occasion. A lovely setting, attentive staff and delicious food."

"no frightened ales just guinness or newcastle brown ale. no lammbrat left so my wife and I beef roast dinner ordered. the only veg that was served with the meat was baptized and red cabbage. roast potatoes big yorkshire pudding. When I asked at the end of the meal, if everything was due to the waitress that cleared our teller, in order, I expressed my unfortunateness with the lack of sweetness with the waitress that she would take it with the kitchen, but she never came back. when I paid in cash, the man did not ask me how our meals were paid in full, which was the best part and was not good. as a shame as I like this pub very much when we had eaten the last time there, I had a sandwich in the worth of bark served with a Brat dinner. at this opportunity I gave them the advantage of the doubt, but now I don't think we'll come back, as I think if they're short food in the kitchen, instead of telling them that they try to palm them with tiny portions or just put burrows and red cabbage on their teller and then load the full price and if they complain (as I did) but they sympathize with them. a shame."

"We were excited to spend our afternoon at the Beaulieu Hotel to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary, but we were quite disappointed with the atmosphere and dining experience. There was no background music, which contributed to a lack of ambiance. The food portions were very small, and we weren't even asked what type of tea we wanted. The sandwiches served didn’t match those listed on the website, the scones were bland and only the size of golf balls, and the cream didn’t resemble proper clotted cream. Overall, I left feeling unsatisfied with our afternoon tea experience."

"I can't believe this is a Leiths restaurant, I have worked with Leiths and I'm astounded!The baked potato was uncooked and there is nothing more unpalatable than raw potato, I complained and decided to have a tuna mayonnaise and cucumber bloomer, aargh! appalling brown cat food with grey sliced cucumber totally inedible.Complained again and was offered cake and coffee, this proved borderline acceptable, Sam tried his best but he was let down by the standard of food and the chefs.The food is atronomical in price, jacket potato and tuna £5.95!I do not mind paying for quality but this was atrocious, leiths is part of the Compass Group and this is the worlds biggest caterer, surprise they allow such food to be served."

"This was our first time visiting this restaurant and we were quite disappointed. To start, they did not have any sparkling water available, which was fine. When my husband asked for an alternative, he was given soda water despite expressing his dislike for it. He requested lime and soda instead, but only received a slice of lime with his wine after a 10-minute wait. The waitress lacked customer service skills and did not seem friendly. It took another 10 minutes for my husband's drink to arrive, and even then, it was just a plain soda water with lime. The food was alright, although it was not very hot. No staff came to check if everything was satisfactory or to offer dessert. In the end, we paid the bill and left, as nobody attended to us. Unfortunately, we won't be returning to this restaurant. It was not even busy, so there is no excuse for the lack of service."
