"First observations: Gorgeous old building with some open air and conservatory style additions. Friendly, attentive service. Fairly small, but varied menu. For our lunch we were offered the special starter of sardines and their wine of the day. We went for the wine, a lovely...white Burgundy, which perfectly complimented my starter of home smoke salmon salad. Mrs Express went for the Foie Gras. Both were excellent with a great small salad, with assorted beets and micro herbs on the side, and the Foe Gras was also excellent. 5 stars each. My main of monkfish wrapped in bacon was very good, nice balance of fresh and salty with a nice tower of roasted summer veg and a lovely champagne sauce. But the fried risotto 'squares ' didn 't taste of much other than fried breadcrumbs and were a disappointment. 4 stars. Mrs E 's beef fillet was superb though. Beautifully flavoured beef, amazing beef jus, lovely baby roast potatoes and a generous smeer of pureed root veg. An absolute triumph worth of a much more expensive restaurant. Deserts were very good; a perfectly 'tart ' ie not too sweet, lemon meringue 'pie ' with lemon sorbet was really tasty and the ice cream in a sugar bowl with cream, chocolate sauce and fruit also lovely. One small criticism was the bread served with the starters was stale, and not even a home baked roll that I would have expected in such a good restaurant. All in all, for a little over 100 EUR (we only had the bottle of wine to drink) and tap water, we both felt this a very fair price for the standard of food and setting."

"arrived by surprise in front of this bistro /restaurant, we were warmly welcomed, we ate on the terrace with view of the port, very well!!For the dishes, it is consisting, and varied in the choice of sauces with the mussels.Our little boy had the wrong idea to overthrow his strawberry syrup at the beginning of his meal, the fries floated. the young waitress was of perfect efficiency and brought back a portion of fries and a new strawberry syrup (if you ask anything.:) thank you! !seul small negative point: with these mussels, fries deserve to be home."

"Like many we trusted the published opinions.... big mistake!Believe that in this summer there are only potatoes in vegetables... all the dishes were served with purée...that it is the butcher's play, the fish of the day, the eels even the 5 unhappy frogs were sprinkled on an easy purée to be restaurateur ... frogs that we come TROP CHER for purée, a restaurant that has declined in quality."

"EN: Super friendly staff and extra super friendly management, because our taxi didn't come and a thunderstorm threatened, the boss drove us back to their private car. Thank you. We had an amazing dinner of Huîtres Chaudes and Choucrute de Mer. An extensive wine list offers many local and national wines at fair prices. Huge selection on the cheese plate and desserts to die. Absolute recommendation! Rare was served and eaten so well and friendly. DE: Super-friendly staff and extra super-friendly management because our taxi did not come and required an energy storm, the boss has driven us back with her private car. Extraordinary thanks for that! We had a fantastic dinner with Huîtres Chaudes and the Choucrute de Mer. An extensive wine list offers enough lolale and regional wines at fair prices. Giant selection on the cheese plate and nightstands to kneel down. Absolute recommendation! Rare so good and friendly were and recorded."
