"Our family of 4 from the USA has made reservations in this restaurant for dinner. The staff left us unwilling from the start because of our language barrier. The fish teas and the cold egg soup were the worst dishes we had in a 20-day visit to this beautiful country. Our main dishes we feel were overpriced for quality. The presentation was attractive, but quality and taste were not impressive. The cheese plate was discarded and we stayed alone for the rest of the evening. Dessert was part of our purchase, but never offered. We tried to get some of the waiting staff to our table but were avoided. We bought a bottle of wine with our dinner and loved another, but nobody checked our table. We also ran out of water. After almost 3 hours my husband went to the desk to pay, he explained it was over an hour and we had not been checked. No excuses were made by the staff."

My wife and I had a delicious meal here on a chilly evening in September.

Since we were staying in a house on the cliffs above the restaurant, coming here was a no-brainer.

So cold in the restaurant and overpriced for average food, untrained staff. It was necessary to warm up in the car.

Had a fabulous meal at a reasonable price. Staff really friendly and welcoming. Very recommended if you stay in Beynac.

We had a good time in this restaurant. the frame is pleasant. the products are fresh and of good quality and the dishes are well presented. Service is effective. only small flat in my opinion: the price of the foie gras in input seemed a little high.

restaurant frequented by many English. Service courtesy, varied map with good local products very well cooked. the room and tonic are very pleasant. we just regret the many pea-based accompaniments (can be a pleasure in the English?)Breef, very well to close a beautiful day in beynac.

A pleasant shady terrace on a side street. Friendly and efficient staff. The food was excellent and the menu “Liberte” offered some refreshing variety from all the normal tourist restaurants. We had the prawn risotto as a starter and the pork belly and sweet breads...as a main all were delicious and very well cooked. I highly recommend and would definitely return.

The restaurant is in a great location with cool terrace area which was simply perfect on a hot summers evening. Great food and service, would highly recommend the fish soup or prawn risotto for starters, we then followed with the confit duck and belly pork...which were equally delicious, no room for dessert so can’t comment but could imagine they’d be as good. Prices were good considering the quality of the food, would highly recommend if in Beynac

"Overall average experience at the restaurant which is disappointing considering the price level. Food was a 4/5 but service was average at 3 and atmosphere/ambiance was poor at 1. Food presentation was a 5. Foie gras and cheese plate were average which is surprising for the region. Risotto with a supplement was not worth the extra money. Scallops, goose breast and chocolate dessert were great. Service was average mostly because the waiter and waitress would drop and run. I ordered wine pairings and I can not tell you what wine I had as they poured and ran away. As for the poor atmosphere/ambiance, the lighting is way too bright. You need sunglasses. Dimmers need to be installed to create a more intimate/romantic environment. Lastly, there was a table of 7 sitting next to where we were seated. 4 adults, 3 children. The parents allowed the youngest of the three to ruin the evening of many patrons as the child was permitted to run freely throughout the dining room. From one end to the other with multiple stops at our table. When the child wasn’t running he was whining at the table as he demanded to be free to roam. The parents may have thought it to be cute but this was not the place for them or their misbehaved child. The wait staff never even acknowledged this with us during service or even when we were paying. This was the ultimate disappointment as it would have been appreciated had they at least mentioned it or offered an after dinner drink as a way to express their thanks for us having to be seated directly next to the inconsiderate family."
